Penguin Movement in the SERPS Today?

Maybe I am a bit insane, but I feel maybe there is a little jolt today?

My main site is kinda moving around a bit today, mostly downwards.

But I do not see anything too weird here: MozCast - The Google Algorithm Weather Report

One thing I did was create a Google Plus page that points at my site. I wonder if this is G's way of identifying businesses and maybe I took a bit of a dive becuase of that? Since google doesn't' want to rank businesses?

(OK that is a bit of a longshot but I am in a pessimistic mood with G today)

Since when does Google not want to rank businesses? Where did you come up with that?

As for your site bouncing around, it is nearly impossible to track Google updates based on one site and its keywords.

    Mike my friend -

That was a very pessimistic statement of mine that I sometimes believe, sometimes don't. I sort of posted it to create a reaction. But yes there is a small chance that they do not love commercial results in the top ten.

There has been some talk about SERP crowding and shrinkage (Google showing 7 results per page and not 10):

    Maybe that's what you're seeing?

Threads like this pop up almost daily. Google is doing a great job keeping web masters paranoid and on edge. Lol

Intimidation is their tool right now. I don't like the direction of Google but they aren't the only traffic source online. If their intentions is weeding out free results to bring in paid results, then Google is doomed.

Google and Wikipedia were already banned in schools and colleges once, that will happen again if the top ranked sites are amazon, ehow, answers, and payers for those top spots.

I think Bing and Yahoo are stepping back and learning what 'not' to do.

I think Bing and Yahoo have been demonstrating what not to do for quite a while now.

Why are you letting google control your life? I could care less.
I don't do things for google. I do things for my sites, my visitors,
my bottomline, my family, my....gee....I sound like I'm giving
the same advice that google does!

If you're paranoid about google and matt cutts, man, you need a life.

Ditto for every other penguin thread here.

I switched gears lately (you've seen that thread I started) and have stuck to the same mindset as yours. It's freaking great.

Now that you've mentioned, I checked some of them and bizarrely most of the ones I checked have gone up in the google.com and down in the google.co.uk.

One site even got to first spot in .com but no where in the top 10 pages in .co.uk
    Can't complain though
