How to promote my new website? Need help!!

I just created a website myglobefeeds dot com about travel news. I have used an SEO package from freelancers.com about a month ago and see very little traffic. I have also tried posting in flyertalk forums with my signature but it was removed since they do not allow any promotions on their site. What am I doing wrong? What should I do to get more unique visits?

  • You have just built a general site about travel news, I dont know if you realise that you are competing in one of the hardest niches in the internet. Sites in that niche have huge budgets and pay top SEO firms to rank there sites. You need to pick a more specific keyword that has little/no competition and rank for it.
  • what kind of keywords you focused on? general keywords or long tail keywords?
  • Try targeting some long tail keywords in that niche. I suggest you use google adwords keyword tool to look for some long tail keywords with more that 1k search per month.
  • Start with google ppc there are many coupons which will give you $100 to try.

    • I suggest you to choose long-tail & high monthly search keywords to target your websites and then do relevant & quality link building on genuine site which bring huge traffic on your website.
