I've been hearing that Google Plus likes are the new FB likes. Are the Google Plus likes helping SEO for sites? Also does it matter how many followers or friends you have on your Google Plus Profile?

I don't see how they wouldn't! As far as SEO, I would think that when someone hit the "Like" button it saves it on Google+ somehow...

As far as followers, as long as you integrate keywords into your descriptions you can reach thousands of people.

Yes it matters and if you get just 1 G+ per day it will lock good for your Visibility
