Strange Google Search Results: Sitemap related

Hi all,
It's been a while. I've quit IM a few months ago to work for a company. You know everyone has to make ends meet. And a few weeks ago, I decided to get into IM world once again. This time I have a great site built up. It's indexed almost immediately, and I can see my pages in serps already.
Anyways, I have seen something strange. I'm not an expert and am pretty confused. When I search for a specific keyword, my site is in the 2nd page of Google. But not the article page or homepage. It's my sitemap URL shown in the search results. (I hope I could explain.)
Should I noindex my sitemap.html page? It's built by Google XML Wordpress plugin. What is the right thing to do? And how?
I've checked forums, other sites, Google forums but could not find anything
When I asked a friend of mine, she -a warrior also- has pointed me to here.
If you can guide me, I'd appreciate forever. (I'll go on a road trip in a few mins, so if I can't answer immediately, please forgive me. It's not because I don't care, it's just because my ability to find good internet connection on the road).
Thanks in advance.

You can see some weird things in the serps when a new site is getting indexed.

Wait awhile. It'll work itself out. Nothing to get freaked out about.

    Hi,

It would be better if you not index site map and keep working on getting some natural links for your main page. Sitemap should not be indexed in Google. i think you need to wait for see some good results.
Try to get some quality content on your website.

    Thank you

    Hi,
Thanks for the replies. My sitemap.xml is shown in the serps. I don't know how to fix it.
Another thing I don't know how to fix is that when I search site:mydomainname.com page descriptions are shown as "A description for this result is not available because of this site's robots.txt". It's not only my site tho. I see many other site descriptions like that in the search results. Any fix you can recommend?
Btw, my robots.txt is like that:
    User-agent: *
    Disallow: /cgi-bin
    Disallow: /wp-admin
    Disallow: /wp-includes
    Disallow: /wp-content/plugins
    Disallow: /wp-content/cache
    Disallow: /wp-content/themes
    Disallow: /trackback
    Disallow: /feed
    Disallow: /archives/
    Disallow: /comments
    Disallow: /category/*/*
    Disallow: */trackback
    Disallow: */feed
    Disallow: */comments
    Disallow: /*?*
    Disallow: /*?
    Allow: /wp-content/uploads

    # Google Image
    User-agent: Googlebot-Image
    Disallow:
    Allow: /*

    # Google AdSense
    User-agent: Mediapartners-Google*
    Disallow:
    Allow: /*

    # digg mirror
    User-agent: duggmirror
    Disallow: /

Sitemap:my sitemap.xml url here (because I can't post links yet)

    Thanks!
    hannah

    Thank you. I will.
At the moment, people seem very confused about Google snippets. (At least, I learn that they call the search desriptions as snippets now lol).
Well sorry if I asked something stupid. I was away from internet business for a while.
Still, if anyone knows about how to fix ""A description for this result is not available because of this site's robots.txt" description in search snippets, your help much be appreciated.
