Hi IBP uses something called the flesch reading ease score in one of its on page seo factors...

Can anyone confirm if this is a key part to your on page seo factors? Will a high score have a big impact on your serp?

    The score is just a metric that is made from an odd formula that you can find here:
    Flesch

    I wouldn't put too much stock into it. If you have a bunch of small words and shorter sentences it is easier to read. If you are targeting a niche that has longer words in it, the scale will indicate it is harder to read.

    Target your market, not some scale.
