are link wheels a good thing? and what exactly are they?

Man please don't tell me you getting money from a company and then buying fiverr crap to their site. Link wheels are basically interlinking your tier proprieties to link the juice flow , I personally stopped using them few months ago as it leaves a huge footprint etc , you can use this crap on tier 2-3 but pointing it on money site is useless and even harmful. Also forum profiles wont help rankings for sure, it's 2012.

Yeah, "Link Wheels" are an awesome search engine optimization strategy to improve your search engine rankings but the content should be original.

Its the process of building 20 or so new blogs/microsites on a particular topic. On each of them, you write around 200 words of original content and a link to your targeted site and 1 link to one of the other blogs/microsites.

By adding a link to each of the new sites, we are passing the value from one site to another. As each link is only one-way i.e. site 1 links to site 3, but site 3 links to site 5, the link juice will pass to all of the sites and not decreased by reciprocal linking (linking site 1 to 3, and 3 to 1).

thanks guys, your help is much appreciated. i understand that forum posts are a no go. i was just unaware of how a 'link wheel' would effect the linkscape. the gist i got from your post is to stay away from such things lol. agreed fiverr is probably the worst place to look for such services, it was just something i came across and thought i'd ask.. does anyone have any suggestions on where i could outsource a good backlink service? from what godmode said, the idea of link wheels seems like a good idea? regardless of being on fiverr or not, could someone tell me if this is worth doing?? will it do good or bad for a sites SEO? and if not, what is the best/easiest way to produce good-for SEO' backlinks naturally?? i apologise for being so nieve. thanks for your help in advance.

link wheel is a good practice in seo aspect. In this we have build links in such a way that all the links are interlink with each other and form a wheel.

A lot of bullsh1t random answers to raise post count above as always. Link wheels aren't something that you need , it may help a bit but in the end you are simply leaving a huge footprint behind your backlinks strategy . You can randomly interlink your backlinks without fully closing the wheel , it's a smarter way to go.

lots of mixed reviews cropping up here lol.
i dont think im going to go ahead and create a full wheel, instead i think i will simply create good quality relvant blogs and pages simply linking back to the site. seems like link wheels are a shady grey area when asking if they do any good or not haha.
i think i'l take godmode's advise and link the odd page/link together, but not actually create a full wheel.

Link wheel is a good strategy if you know what you are doing.

It greatly depends on the sites you use and how you interlink them.

I wouldn't outsource to fiverr, it's too delicate to leave in the hands of a $3.80+ earner.

yeah I used fivver to make my 2 separate link wheels...and then I used another service .,..to make another link wheel....and that was $65 per link wheel.

I'm not really sure if anything positive came from those link wheels in terms of me getting more traffic to my site. I think that link wheels were a good idea a few months ago. But the new google update treats them with less authority than before.

Link wheels are basically like so....you have say....5 virtual real estate properties....blogs, squidoo, website, etc....that are on different ip addresses and on different C-class blocks....so that in googles' eyes...they look to be from different people.

You essentially have these all link together....like a wheel...hence the term link-wheel.....and then each one of those also links back to your money site.

I would stay away from this stuff now....and instead pay someone to write legit...unique articles...or videos....and go that route in getting bakc links to your site.

Link wheels would work but the the idea is to make original content and make it actually useful to the users, this making a user click on a sites and stays on that site for some time before going back to the index and click on another site.

to be honest aira, my question was kindly answered with genuine replies almost immediately after posting the thread. since then it has been inundated with random replies meaning nothing whatsoever. i cant help that im afraid, just alot of people trying to get there post count up
