I personally don't worry about it. Just make it natural with a good mix of dofollow & NoFollow. Contextual links are what you want now.

I would say 3-5 a day would be Ok. as long as they are from relevant sites. They just don't want to see an excessive amount in a day because they know that is not legitimate.

It's never been a regular amount per day for me. Some days I get a lot. Some days I don't get any. The average is about 3 to 6 a day, but some days are very good. I look forward to those days!

I maintain an average of 10-12 links per day which works great for me. Social bookmarking sites are always on my priority list.

Just vary the anchor text as well as do and no follow IMO. Do it slow & steady

Backlinking appears to be an extremely grey area....why is it that in this internet age, it is hard to find a definitive guide - a genuine one???

If your content is useful enough, surely your page will move up. Don't look for external factor but internal factor.

As per the my experience i found that for a new page you have to good quality of On-Page SEO. Then after a regular update make you to do more than link building. Try to put article section in your website where you can regularly update new article in regular period of time.

The NUMBER of backlinks you get per day doesn't really matter.

What you do need to worry about is the QUALITY of your backlinks. If you blast your site with 1000's of spammy blog comments, then yes, your site will be penalized.

However, if 1000 legitimate sites all decided to post articles, and each had a link back to your site, then Google would have no problem with that.

Number of back links is not mattering in your site. Must keep the link velocity in healthy way and consider the quality of back links.. Because, its completely waste and makes your site penalized when you get spam links.. For a new website, its enough to make 5 or 6 quality links but keep do-follow and no-follow in same ratio.. Getting links should be natural..

The most important concept is how natural they. Would it be natural to have 1000 links to a site in one day and then 0 the next? Probably not. Better to do 3 a day for 100 days in a row than 300 in one day and then 0 for 99 days. Start with a few a day. Be consistent. Over time, you can increase the number if want to, but be consistent.

Quality of links is good. So is diversity. Some with anchor text, some without. Some do-follow, some no-follow. Vary the anchor text. All of these would occur if backlinks occurred naturally, so that is what you want to achieve.

How many links per day you get is irrelevant, as long as you keep them coming. To make sure your links look natural, I suggest waiting few weeks before you start building any. Why? Does it look natural to you that as soon as website is online, it starts getting backlinks from different sources? In my experience, adding 10 articles on website before building any links is a positive signal to Google that links that come after are natural.

It's not how many links. But what's the quality of the links. Remember there are links that are ignored by Google. And they have much knowledge in defining the quality of the links more than we know.

Just think of quality.

There is no hard rule behind it. It should come out naturally, you may get as many natural links as you can. But remember, you must not get too many self promotional links, directory links, article site links etc. within a short period of time. It is always better to control the natural flow of your link and build a mixed approach.

Don't be confused. As long as your backlinks come from relevant sites and aren't all just one specific type of backlink, you should be fine. Generally I'd say anything from 2 to 40 backlinks per day is very safe. More than 50 per day is where you're taking a bit of a risk on a new site and more than 100 is a no-no.

Google is being updated for dofollow and nofollow. Before google update it supports good backlink. Good backlink depends on quality not on quantity.

Sometimes Backlinks campaigns go viral. You only need to care about the quality of backlinks. If these new backlinks stay for a long time, I don't see a problem. In the mean time, manage a proper Anchor text diversity to keep it natural.

First get 2 Page Rank 3 backlinks (Dofollow) from 2 diferent sites. You can get them at blog comments. Then start making quality and unique content.

sometimes i dont make any for 3-4 days and on some days i make 10-15 together, and my keywords are doing good. But i think 3-5 a day is god. You see people in google are not fools, if your links are natural and legit , they will never blacklist your site.
