I personally don't worry about it. Just make it natural with a good mix of dofollow & NoFollow. Contextual links are what you want now.

I would say 3-5 a day would be Ok. as long as they are from relevant sites. They just don't want to see an excessive amount in a day because they know that is not legitimate.

I don't think that backlinks count per day matters, If you have to create quality backlinks. So, do quality backlinks without get any tension.

It's never been a regular amount per day for me. Some days I get a lot. Some days I don't get any. The average is about 3 to 6 a day, but some days are very good. I look forward to those days!

Only these will not help.

You have to make sure your on-page settings are perfect.
Unique titles, Unique meta descriptions, Unique content for each and every pages of your website. No application of BLACK-HAT SEO. Content is optimized, but it is for visitors. If you are using Wordpress, use plugins like All-in-SEO, SEO Yoast plugin, it may show your % of readability and age.... That really helps.

As per the my experience i found that for a new page you have to good quality of On-Page SEO. Then after a regular update make you to do more than link building. Try to put article section in your website where you can regularly update new article in regular period of time.

The NUMBER of backlinks you get per day doesn't really matter.

What you do need to worry about is the QUALITY of your backlinks. If you blast your site with 1000's of spammy blog comments, then yes, your site will be penalized.

However, if 1000 legitimate sites all decided to post articles, and each had a link back to your site, then Google would have no problem with that.

Number of back links is not mattering in your site. Must keep the link velocity in healthy way and consider the quality of back links.. Because, its completely waste and makes your site penalized when you get spam links.. For a new website, its enough to make 5 or 6 quality links but keep do-follow and no-follow in same ratio.. Getting links should be natural..

The most important concept is how natural they. Would it be natural to have 1000 links to a site in one day and then 0 the next? Probably not. Better to do 3 a day for 100 days in a row than 300 in one day and then 0 for 99 days. Start with a few a day. Be consistent. Over time, you can increase the number if want to, but be consistent.

Quality of links is good. So is diversity. Some with anchor text, some without. Some do-follow, some no-follow. Vary the anchor text. All of these would occur if backlinks occurred naturally, so that is what you want to achieve.

How many links per day you get is irrelevant, as long as you keep them coming. To make sure your links look natural, I suggest waiting few weeks before you start building any. Why? Does it look natural to you that as soon as website is online, it starts getting backlinks from different sources? In my experience, adding 10 articles on website before building any links is a positive signal to Google that links that come after are natural.

So from reading all your comments I get that sticking to "natural" link building is more important than just the amount per day, so far so good.

I have just I more quiestion regarding social bookmarking. When you submit your page and articles to bookmark, you are not really getting a backlink I understand since you can´t place any anchor text on those, right ?

What I am trying yo say is, what is your strategy regarding social bookmarking ?

Hi Smaver,

There really isnt a maxium amount of backlinks per day. You should be more worried about link velocity, and link acceleration. Just to give you an example, it is not uncommon for me to build hundreds of links directly to a money site each day. My tiers would get hit with even more of this. This is not to say that I recommend just blasting your money site with this many links unless you understnad the princples of link velocity and acceleration. You can be sandboxed if you build too many at once. But if you ramp it up over time, and maintain a constant pace you can get away with building many many more links than your competitors.

There is no hard rule behind it. It should come out naturally, you may get as many natural links as you can. But remember, you must not get too many self promotional links, directory links, article site links etc. within a short period of time. It is always better to control the natural flow of your link and build a mixed approach.

Don't be confused. As long as your backlinks come from relevant sites and aren't all just one specific type of backlink, you should be fine. Generally I'd say anything from 2 to 40 backlinks per day is very safe. More than 50 per day is where you're taking a bit of a risk on a new site and more than 100 is a no-no.

Be consistent when you build links - getting 10-15 links every day for a month followed by hundreds of links a day the next month should be avoided at all costs.

i dont understand why people really care about the daily dose of links!! if you get no backlinks one day and hundred backlinks the other day, it aint the end of the world. google doesn't penalize a site just becoz your link velocity isnt consistent. if that were the situation, there's no way people could deal with neg seo!!

Mix in dofollow and nofollow. Go for high PR contextual backlinks. Avoid those spam blog comments and fourm sigs.

Yeah, people tell that this number of backlinks are good, this number of backlinks are bad.
But it depends on you, make backlinks through the forum posting, blog commenting etc....
If you make 10 backlinks per day then google can't find them all, if you make 100 backlinks per day then also google can't find them all. Backlinking is independent of numbers!

Sometimes Backlinks campaigns go viral. You only need to care about the quality of backlinks. If these new backlinks stay for a long time, I don't see a problem. In the mean time, manage a proper Anchor text diversity to keep it natural.

10 backlinks a day is okay. Just don't go overboard, like 50 backlinks in a day. Well, that's just my two cents. I've had experienced with getting penalized for creating too many backlinks in a day.

I think no. of links don't matter as long as you are building quality links! Quality means you are using articles to build a link like guest posting, web 2.0 posting and PR networks. Make sure the articles you are using are quality also.

I think 20 - 25 back links is ok. if you stuff too much it will considered as over optimization and the keyword rankings will not rank. so just get limited back links every day

The question should be "How many quality dofollow backlinks per day".
What's the point of making 300 backlinks if 298 or them are nofollow? lol
First get 2 Page Rank 3 backlinks (Dofollow) from 2 diferent sites. You can get them at blog comments. Then start making quality and unique content.

Don't worry too much about keep making Backlinks. Me, for example, I rather use Dofollow foruns than Dofollow blogs, Dofollow Blogs are good to increase the web site PR, Dofollow foruns are good to increase the web site SERP. What? Don't get me wrong, both can be used to increase PR and SERP.

What's so special about Forums? You have a signature, and you help real people, so that's not just about Ranking.

10-15 backlinks a day should be enough.Also make sure that you submit in high PR .Post unique articles and blogs with anchor tags so that it would be an added advantage for the backlinks.

sometimes i dont make any for 3-4 days and on some days i make 10-15 together, and my keywords are doing good. But i think 3-5 a day is god. You see people in google are not fools, if your links are natural and legit , they will never blacklist your site.
