I was on the first page of Google 2 days ago with the #5 spot for my keywords. Today, my website is gone, nowhere to be seen. When I search Google for my site like this, site:ambitenergycorporation.com it shows that my website is indexed in Google. Is this known as the Google dance? My website isn't even on page 100. If you have experienced this before please let me know. I put a decent amount of work trying to get my website on the first page. Many thanks fellow warriors.

This is very common and happened to me a lot. But it got stable after a while. Have you been making any changes to your website titles or meta description? I am sure it will start showing after a while.

Like Pluto1 said that happens alot, this is one way that google makes sure that it provides the searcher relevant material. Just keep on building your links and it will appear again in the first page. More links the better!

Thanks for the responses guys. I just hope that when I start building backlinks again that it will show up.

100% ... its the Google Dance.

I've got 3 websites doing the exact same thing right now. Some days they are at #6, #3 and #1. Next day they are around 700+ in the results. Just keep building backlinks and keep an eye on your webmaster tools. I find that the rank you see in WMT is usually pretty accurate plus or minus a few.

No matter what...don't stop building backlinks. Once your site stabilizes a little bit you can slow down a little bit with the link building, but even then still continue with them.

        Hope that helps,

    Hi steven,

I like your post by the way. Did your site ever come back to page one? Im having the same problem. I was at position 4 for my main keywords. Then overnight its gone completely from google nowhere to be found. Its still being indexed as seen with site: But its not in the top 100.
Please let me know what happened with your site and if you had to get a new site.
    Thanks

This is very common. In fact, I believe the coined term is doing the "Google Dance." As stated by others, keep building backlinks and your sites will dance back up the to the front page.
