Should I have a dedicated site?

I am working on some marketing for Jota Aviation. Their site currently operates as an extension of the Jota Group site. Is it better for SEO purposes to develop a seperate site for the aviation side of things or doesnt it matter?

    Chris, that's your choice in the end. There isn't necessarily a "better" route. There are pros and cons to each choice.

    With a new site you'll have to reestablish authority, but you'll also have greater control over the presence of the entire site rather than just the presence of a section of a site.

    By promoting their extension you can use their established authority to make things easier, but if the rest of their site is poorly marketed or looks bad in the eyes of Google it may be difficult to work against that.

    Another option is to make feeder sites. New sites are easy to make, so you can make some feeder sites and try BOTH routes. Promote their aviation pages while also promoting the feeder sites.

    In the end I'm sure you'll figure out which one works.

    I took a look at the site...

    I think for SEO it might be a bit easier depending on what you are doing to give it, it's own site.

    BUT I would recommend against it, because how the site is setup... It just seems odd to give it, its own site.
