In article submission we are focus on the current topic and through article submission we give the knowledge to the online readers.While Press release is the news or release of a company or firm.Content is the king in both techniques.

Article writing is different than press release writing since writing of press release shall be in form of news or shall be related to current on going changes/product launch/company's other news information.

Both are forms of content marketing. With article marketing, you're creating good content and syndicating it to article directories and blogs accepting guest posts. With online press releases, you're distributing news about your company via press release platforms like PRweb which then gets syndicated to other sites like Google and Yahoo News. An SEO/content strategy that combines both article marketing and online press releases can be very effective.

In article writing you have a more freedom to writing your articles whereas when you write for press release, it should sound like any news.

Press releases (News): Main purpose apparently announcing something to mars via news media (Internet or some other). Following common elements in Press release Headline, Introduction and News body.

Article : It kind of giving some explanation, describe something that the speaker has already mentioned, giving details or definition about products or services.

Article is writing generally about a business and making links for your site from that content. Press Release is writing in specific about your business and making it familiar. In general press release is advertising your site by a piece of content.

A point worth mentioning is that press releases are generally written in the third person and usually include a quote or two from the 'business owner'. Just read any newspaper story, you'll get the idea - it's reporting on an event, happening etc by a third person.

Press release is something that we send out when we release a new product, service or anything. On the other hand article writing need not necessarily be about the launch of any new products or services, rather it can be anything about an existing product, anything about the industry etc and it is mainly used for getting backlink and traffic generation.
