How To Promote a New Website These Days?

Hi

I was thinking how have things have changed since Panda/Penguin.

I was wondering what are the methods for promoting a new website these days. It seems it can be quite hard getting a new site going whilst trying to avoid any sort of penalties from gaining to many links too fast.

I guess some social bookmarking can get it started, but what other methods would you use to get a new site noticed?

    You need to take actions. Nothing much have changed you just need to know what these updates are about and make necessary changes. Don't over optimize your site and make sure you vary your anchor text along with other LSI keywords and unanchored URL.

    Social bookmarking are best links. I have found that they are always helpful irrespective of the quantity not in case with other kinda links.

    Don't get too many links in the same month. For the 1st 15 days just ping it, submit it stat sites to get it indexed, get some social networking links, post on FB, Twitter and others. Get some social bookmarking done.

    After that start doing other kind of backlinks such as high pr blog commenting, Web 2.0, article directories, forum profiles (don't work as they used to be a year ago). and others.
    Variety of links helps. Keep it consistent and you'll start seeing results.

      At this time is to hard get attention, there is more and more competition. Right? You will get the banner super fancy photoshoped, but for a lot of people should be boring. What I would do is this. Find some way to help people and bring them value. It means that he will benefit from it immediately. Through banners, it is really hard, expensive. So, is there some other ways how to do it? Sure.

      Think about that for a while.

      The customer come to website and see the banner about glassy, shinny money, how to earn them easily over night, if you buy cheap product for $47. How do you feel about that? If I would not be experienced, I would bought it. Than the time will show me that it has been scam.

      Let's be Reverse Engineers.

      So, what would we want? First of all trust. Right? Than, good reputation. Credibility. How to do it? I will post Guest Posts with so much value with just one link to my website, which would be minimalistic-theme for wordpress, with great content. Bring them value and make a lot of friends. Set up replationship with them.

      If I will find that kind of website, I will bookmarked, say for myself, I have got a new good friend.

        A great way to generate traffic to your website is too create video content on You Tube and redirect it back to your website. I find You Tube engaging and you are right infron of your customer. Of course as Heamaster has already said the other vital components need to be taken care of. There are lots of sources for driving traffic, You Tube is certainly one of them.

          Honestly, Youtube is easiest way to generate traffic without money in the quickest time. You just need to know how to harness the true power of video marketing. Done properly it makes you more money than those many of small sites put together,

    Have you even try out facebook ads? I think it's good for you to promote your new site. you cab base on your target audient's demographic to target. Like their age group, Male or Female,their nation, interest, single?... the quality of the traffics are super high. And also you buy the coupon from fiver, $50 coupon and $30 coupon.     Honestly, nothing has really changed that much for site owners who got ranked the whitehat way. Just make sure you have quality unique content and also promote the site through the social networks & a little backlinking never hurts.

    You must have unique articles to your site so that google penguin will rank your site. For the promotion you can use social media like twitter, facebook etc. or video, article submissions and forum posting.

    Things haven't changed as much as people think. If you're doing proper on-page SEO without stuffing keywords and spamming the hell out of websites it's pretty easy to rank. I have a website that's 7 months old in #3 spot for a keyword with 800 MILLION competing sites. Yep, true story. And best of all, there's only 15 pages indexed (15 articles that's all well optimized)

    I think it's still pretty safe to go with social network promotion. Just don't overuse it. That's for promotion.

    Regarding the backlinks, blog comments and forum signatures, are still the best, i believe But, be careful with anchor text and stuff like that.

    Focus on finding out where the niche go. Whether it be fourms, the top websites etc... and get your content there.

    Use PPC to give a targeted boost and test conversions of your page.

    Then once you know it is converting get very good content on the top sites in your niche via gust posting etc...

    Depending on the topic of your website, can you go where people interested in your topic "hang out" such as certain forums? Find one that permits you to put a link in your signature (or even just on your profile can work), then write useful, helpful, informtion in your posts. Some people will be interested to find out more about you, and click through.
