I have this blog that I create I guess last week of july or first week of august, what I did only is submit the site to 5 rss feed I guess. Then forgot about the blog.

I just learned that the site is rank number 7, after checking my vps hosting tonight, I see a sudden spike of traffics.

The keyword is php sleep a php function. And my blog is PHP Sleep function the delay command for PHP programming

I guess google is giving so much wait to the domain name...

It's a keyword that has very little traffic and that there is no money in.

    I.E. Nobody is targeting it.

Maybe, but I am getting 50 unique visitor per day from this keyword. And according to google keyword tool there are 12,100 searching per month for this term around the world [exact match]

My fault. I was looking at the wrong traffic information. Yes it is getting a fair amount of search traffic, but it is not a very good keyword to make money off of.

My original point still is true. Nobody is targeting the keyword.

          Agree 100%.

Only php programmers are looking for this term

Just in case your question was serious, the term php sleep has very low competition so it's hardly surprising that it's easy to rank for.

Yah According to google adword it's low competition. Maybe for this keyword their data is accurate

There are keywords where they are showing low competition but when you dig more about that keyword you will find out it's competitive.

I just share my experience with this keywords, to discuss what are the possible reason why it ranks there with not much activity on it...

The question in my mind right now is what if I didn't used the phpsleep.com as domain name, instead use something like myphptutorials.ph or myphptutorials.org, does the result will be the same?

When I was referring to "low competition" I was meaning the competition to rank for that keyword and not the Adwords competition.

It just so happens that for this particular keyword, both the Adwords competition and ranking competition are both low.

Nice to know about your success. PHP Sleep keyword has decent traffic, but it is extremely hard to monetize developer traffic.

Agree with you... this kind of traffic only visit sites like this to learned how this particular php function works. And leave after they get what they need.

I've spent the last 59 months building 412 MFA sites. Each site averages 8 cents per day...I said average, some make up to 17 cents per day, PASSIVE INCOME!
