Do follow forum posting help in ranking a keyword?

I want to know the role of forum posting in link building. I did lots of forum posting in a right way in no follow forums but it didn't made any difference in the keyword rankings. I am not sure about do follow forums.

Please tell me about your experiences. Are do follow forums helpful in ranking a keyword?

    You should use do-follow forum list bcs no-follow is not good. And the comment in forum need to relevant to the topic, if not, your comment will be detected and no-value.

    Leave comments only if you understand the topic and can comment intelligently. Blog authors will not approve the comment if they think you are only spamming for a link. Find a blog that allows do follow links and you will be set. If 100% of your links are anchor text then Google will catch this up as deliberate link building so it is nice to have just the website address as the back link. It dilutes the anchor to link ratio.

    From what I understand a signature backlink within your niche forum will be great. So if you have a forum n your niche go with that

    Do-follow forum posting is very effective to get top SERP positioning where No-follow forum posting wasn't helpful to get good ranking.

      it doesnt matter if its in your niche or not. just make sure its something you know about, so you can actually leave a meaningful comment

    Could be effective when in a controlled amount, and when combining other linkbuilding tactics. Just be careful.
