  • Not pinging them is usually the best way because Google naturally finds them over time giving you a good link velocity. But if you want to get them indexed fast them I found that backlink index express is pretty good.
  • thanks what is the website for that service I found so many of them when i google it.
  • you also can you Nuclear Link Index or Backlink Indexer to index your site faster.
  • Pinging is not really useful anymore because it's been sooo abused. If you're building good, quality links, Google/Bing will find them naturally. In regards to press releases, I would build backlinks to the actual press release to give it some juice. 2nd tier link building can be very effective if done right.
  • Pinging the links ....?? i recommend that let Google index your pages itself. It is natural and the results you get is going to be admirable. You have to provide unique content so that it(Google) will index the pages faster.

    • This view has always cracked me up. I've had it, and I've seen others have it, but I decided to take a look at what I was thinking when I thought it.

There is nothing natural about the Internet or Google. It's all Man made.

It's like we are saying to ourselves, "everything should be done manually by Internet users, site builders, business activities, etc..." and Google likes us to think this way. Why?... Because Google wants to be in control of how the Internet is used, what the values are that we should have when we use it, and most of all: Google wants to define what "Quality" means for us all.

Google is basically saying to us, "you should not automate your Internet activities because is lesson's the value of the user experience."

There is only two things that lesson the value of my user experience on the web: 1) Deception, and 2) Taking control away from me on my computer and web experience. Period!

It's time for a wake up call. Google "is using automation technology" to spider the web, and rank it's worth. Users and Business people "are using automation technology" to enjoy their experience of the web and save their real lives by limiting the amount of time and difficulty the have when conducting their activities on it, whether it be for entertainment, communication, education, social/political causes, or business.

Google uses bots to conduct it's search activities on the net, and everyone else is using bots to manage their activities on the net, and Google is punishing everyone for using bot technology. It's nothing but a robot war, and Google is trying to convince everyone to see things it's way, just like religions and politicians want everyone to see things their way. It's nothing more that high tech indoctrination at the digital programming level, our lives are being sucked into it, and commerce is the vehicle.

If automation is Ok for Google, then automation is Ok for the rest of us. If Google fails to see or allow this, I predict Google WILL eventually fall from number 1. I know there are those who will probably think I am making a foolish or unrealistic prediction, that's Ok with me. I have been seeing a trend with Google that I believe will be it's undoing. While it may recover from it, there is still a big lesson in Google's future.

      We shall see...
  • Pinging is notification for search engines when you post something in blog/forum. Its necessary for increasing search engine alerts and changing index whenever you post new thing everytime.

  • We just released our private indexing software to the public today (linkpipeline) here: http://www.linkpipeline.com
  • Generally I would not ping backlinks. It isn't a moral or ethical issue.
This is an oversimplification but if the link is worth anything Google will find it.
  • I was taught t just let the search engines find them naturally. Isn't that the best way?
