First 10$ A day Goal w/Micro Niche Websites Reached!!

So I started to get my feet wet the last few months building and creating micro niche websites. Learned some things, Failed at others, wasted some money, but finally I found a system that is working for me.

I set a goal to achieve 10 dollars a day from the sites, following which and only then will I start to build/develop more. 20 dollars a day Is my new goal.

I know 10 bucks a day isn't much for some of you guys out there. But keep in mind this is very exciting for me being that I just started doing this a few months ago!

I would like to personally thank Josh&Trevor from WSO testers, Mike From Maine, and Justin and Joe from Adsense flippers.

I have been studying (borderline stalking heh) those guys for the last few months and implementing their tactics and strategies. And they work! I highly recommend if you are interested in doing this, to check them out.

Right now I don't have quite the domain or site base that they have (yet ) but hope to keep growing and utilizing their systems and mixed with my own variants, that I hope to share in the near future to help other people (like myself) out.

What about you guys? Have you all hit any goals lately?

I would love to hear about them!

How much did cost to get there?

Thats a good question. Right now I'm at about 20 domains. All were purchased for 8.99 for the 1st year. Long tail pro w/20% discount, and Gold Member sub to EzArticleLink + .info domains for unlimited postonly accounts.

Lets break down the cost estimates:
      20 domains: 178$
      Long Tail Pro: 77$
      EzArticleLink Gold: 34$ (a month)
      SocialAdr Sub: 17$
      CTR theme W/Discount: 20$
      20 .Info's: 80$
      Article Outsourcing: 80$

Total: 486$ (give or take a few)

Seems a lot at first, but Keep in mind a majority of the domains are not making money/high in rank yet. I hope in the next few months to see profit from those sites. And every month after this Will just be new domains/articles/EzArticleLink/Socialadr costs.

Looking forward to getting more returns in the next few months, and find tuning/adding content to the sites that are ranking!

Thanks for the detailed answer That's not too bad. Just keep in mind you'll need to do $10 a day for 48.6 days to recoup those costs before you're profitable. After day 50 that money will be gravy and you can reinvest. Try and keep your monthly recurring costs as low as possible, too.

        Congrats on your success.

Right on! Yeah hopefully I will recoup that money faster once all the rest of the sites start ranking, actually earning money. Probably will be there in the next few months! Cheers!

Those are great tips, I have heard of using Magic Submitter, I wanted to see If I could get some sites rocking before using it, Im going to keep testing and see If I can get away without using it for the next batch of sites, but something back in my mind keeps telling me I will have to start using it eventually

I will defiantly keep this post updated with my progress and share some new things that I learn along the way!

10 bucks a day is awesome man, that's like 15% of the average income that people make per month, and you have to do nothing for that anymore, okay build a few links to keep up with it but that's it!.

Forgot to add, I have a set budget of 200-250 dollars a month to reinvest into making and outsourcing new sites/articles.

I have been getting my articles written by website content writers off of Odesk for about 3.50-4.00 an article. Articles posted are 850-1000 words long.

Amen to that, with my experience people shoot to high with there expectations and goals, and fail to achieve them and then give up. I'm a firm believer in short term/long term goal orientation and striving to fulfill them. Get your short term goals knocked out to help work towards your long term and so on and so forth!

Let me explain that a little better. It is a little confusing at first how Ezarticlelink works. You add a site to the system and it posts other people articles/links on. When you add just 1 site you can add 1 site for article submission to the system. But When you add 20 into the database it allows you to post unlimited sites onto the system for article distribution.

Kind of confusing and weird at first, but once you start poking around with it you can learn it quickly.

Here's a video to further explain it on this page: My “Secret” Link Building Weapon Exposed – How To Setup EZArticleLink To Rank Your Niche Sites

    Cheers!

I would however add a word of caution on using an article distribution system like
this especially with spun content. Google will eventually find it and de-index
it like Build My Rank etc.

I would diversify the link building as a precaution.

Making money online is very addicting I must admit. From the whole creating process to actually seeing results and all the hard work (somewhat for me) paying off. Very thrilling.

But then again the money I do make, is probably just going to be reinvested into new sites!

Also quick update: On my sites that are on first page I tend to add a few more articles to it, usually targeting the keywords in the "related search" results. Usually around 400-500 word articles. I write them myself, and just have the main 1000 word article outsourced.

Right now I do all the spinning manually. It's a little bit tedious but because I dont actually write the content and the sites are fast to build, I dont complain to much. Maybe if my bankroll starts increasing in the next few months I might pay Ezarticlelink the 3 dollars to spin. But until then im ok with doing the work myself. =D

I'm a firm believer in getting your feet wet doing it yourself before you pay someone else to do the same task for you.

    QUICK UPDATE:

I like to put adsense on the sites as soon as all the content is on. That way I can see which ones start earning quickly, which lets me know generally which sites make it to the 1st page of the search results.

Sometimes before starting my backlinking! I have a couple sites that have been 1st-3rd ranking in the search results and have little to no backlinking.

Back on topic, out of those sites I'm starting to add more content too (not crap content, well written 500-600 work articles) as well as make other sites based around the main "topic" or other similar keywords. So far this has been working out pretty well. I will keep you guys posted on how it goes! Cheers!

Anyway, I'm glad you found a system that's working for you. Keep going with that. I may have to split test that ezarticlelink strategy with our own and see how it does. Or maybe even combine it and see what results pop up.

Not sure if you can use .ws

No need for word press, just set up a directory on the site via EzartcleLink's system.

        Hope that helps!

Hey dude! No we haven't spoken before. Guess there's a first for everything!

I would give it a try, has been working for me, but then again I'm at such a smaller scale of sites. Then again I don't see why you guys wouldn't be able to try it out and succeed!

Yea, I'm actually going to set this up for quite a few sites. I'll let you know how that goes.

$10 per day is a great landmark. The best part is you know it's working so you can build off of that success.

If all works out I should be there soon! *crosses fingers*

Yes it is the same backlinking method that Mike from Maine utilizes, at least one of them

One of the best things I got from your guys strategies would have to be the keyword research, and utilizing long tail pro. Great stuff, very easy to learn and very informative. Learned a bunch and the method is proven to work!

For anybody that wants to check it out you can find it here: Tutorials | WSOtesters.com

I also want to start utilizing your backlinking in the future, I need to school up more on magic submitter, or maybe hire some one to do it for me. Hmm... Choices choices

Yea, well our MS strategy isn't exactly the easiest method available. Also, we're starting to really analyze whether the PAD links will be a safe strategy as Penguin keeps rolling along. Right now it works, but for how long, I really don't know.

Some are adopting a "no backlink" strategy. Personally we wouldn't go that far just yet. I think it's going to be more about adapting to make the links look even more natural. We plan to keep testing new methods and changing with time.

So are you dominating any niches yet?

Yes the MS route does look rather daunting. I wouldn't be to comfortable at my stage getting my feet wet without some further learning/testing.

I agree with the no backlink thing. I'm having success with backlinks, as long as they are more natural. Not going on fiverr and blasting a site with 100000000 links in a day. Ha.

As far as niches go. I have one that I'm tapping into rather well, It's not the best paying cpc (around the .45-1$ range), but does have steady traffic and good income. I won't know for sure though till probably next month if the other sites built around it will be profitable. But they are all ranking top page rather fast.

But on a side note, that always seems to be the hardest thing for me, is thinking about what niches/sites to build around, but I'm sure with experience that will become more easier. Keyword research is defiantly the time hog, when it comes to this.

Yea, it will definitely get easier with experience. Keyword research was probably the last thing that we were able to give to a VA. For the longest time we were doing all of that on our own. We still make the final decisions as to which ones to go with, but hiring out the initial filter has really taken a load of work off our hands.

                    • You should really look at a building a Private Blog Network. It costs a little more, but in the long run it is probably the only type of back linking that will be left standing. The power of a PR4 link is quite amazing.

P.S. The only thing better than $10 a day is $20. Good work. Niche sites are a great way to start out and I believe the fastest to rank if you have a good exact matching domain.

Well done! $10 a day is cool. A nice little earner.

Maybe don't got too quick on backlinks in the current Penguin climate.

Keyword match domain names seem to do well with a lot less backlinking, so for a niche site this should be good.

In fact I will add, that some sites I have are doing very well (top google rankings) with:

        good content
        keywords in domain name
        no backlinks

This penguin algorithm seems to have an inverse square law, so that the more you do can hurt you more.

Word, Yes right now I'm only doing minimal backlinking for the sites as far as I can tell It's been working for me. And all my sites that are making money now are in fact exact match domains, great tips none the less cheers!

Not step by step, but as far as EZarticlelink goes yes.

Keep at it, Honestly it's all about keyword research, once you stumble upon a good niche that's easy to rank for and not a lot of competition its cakewalk. But finding that is the hard part. Honestly out of the 20 sites only 5-10 are making money. About 20% of them are actually making the majority, which I have built other sites around, and hope to see a return from soon

      Hope that helps!

We saw this simlar trend earlier on and we saw it again when we tried to go after completely new niches that were unrelated to anything we did before. The magic happens once you get those winning keywords and expand on them.

          Bingo! Expand on what works!

How long usually on your end does it take before you start seeing results from a site using your guys methods?

I'm just now starting to see something from sites built in the previous months. Would like to gauge it better from others experience. Would help with an approximate on how much time ahead I need to plan for new sites to start ranking if they do at all.

I'd say it probably takes about a month before the bulk of them show up on the first page. Some sites will rank much faster and others will rank much slower and some won't rank at all. I think Google enjoys toying with everyone.

Right on, Yes a month is about where my sites started poping up into the 1st page.

I did in fact have a bunch of sites that were on 1st page, then a week later on pages 3-5 then gone. Then as of now they are back on the 1st page. Weird.... I'm not complaining though

              INCOME UPDATE:

Well for August, I happened to make 144$ via adsense, and this month's income is projected to be around 250-280 if my earnings keep up. I did have a 17$ day this month, which is very very close to my 20 a day goal (but would have to be a consistent 20 a day)

Not a bad start if I say so myself.

As far as new sites, I have about 5 I'm working on now, to add to the bunch. As well as another 10-20 next month to keep the ball rolling. I'm planning on reinvesting the money made into more sites.

But with as much time as it takes me to do keyword research, I'm focusing on building sites off of the niches that are already working for me, even if they don't make as much, they will defiantly get to top rankings fast, plus the topics are fairly easy to write about and create additional content for.

Still haven't stumbled upon any "big" earning keywords/sites as of now. Going to be testing a few other niches next month to see if I can tap into a better income source and keep the ball rolling in that direction, now that I have a better understanding of what to do!

So hopefully October will bring me some new avenues to travel down, and some more income! Cheers!

Something else you may want to consider:

If you find a keyword that allows you to rank #1 quite easily, then purchase new domains on different class c ip's and try to fill up the entire top 5 slots

    Niche Domination

      Dennis,

I love the idea of dominating a niche, especially if it is easy to rank for. Why would you need to register the other sites under a different ip? Does Google not want 1 individual having multiple sites ranking in the top 5 in 1 niche?

      Thanks for the great advice.

I actually one a few sites have a few pg's from the same .com in the top 10. Not sure if that can be repeated for other pages. Maybe just a fluke?

You do not NEED to HOST the domains under different ips, but i've noticed that google has a tendency to prefer a good amount of diverse ip's on the first page rankings. So if two domains are on the same ip and going for the exact same keyword, then the big G will tend to rank only one of them in order to "mix up" the SERPs.

Now here's the kicker, the one Google picks isn't always the "strongest" domain. Since I have multiple reseller hosting accounts I just split them up to get rid of this factor altogether.

p.s. Congrats on your success, im also a follower of the Adsense Flippers and come late spring of next year i'll be on the ground in Davao.

It is amazing how you're achieving your goals. The only downside is that you have really invested a lot of money which may not be applicable to most new people here. Not that there's something bad about it. I understand that you're investing on your business but that's a lot of money to start which may not be for most newbies.

I'm interested to see your ROI and how many months it takes you to get there. Just motivating you here buddy.

Good point! I am very certain that I can make some good money (or at least my ROI), I've put plenty of time in research and granted that my overall costs were a little bit higher than usual the formula works. I've proved it and many others have, so I'm not to worried about it as long as I stay focused and keep working it should be profitable!

      Cheers!

Invest time or money, newbies choice really, money just makes things quicker and easier.

Both Socialadr and Ezarticlelink have free options available. There is no getting around buying a domain or two but come on, if you can't invest < $30 - $50 in total to get yourself off the ground then your not taking it seriously enough.

Great job! $10 a day isn't VERY much yet, but since you've found a system that works for you already, just keep replicating it and soon you'll just be as good as the other experts!

Good job buddy. I remember my first $10 day, actually it spiked to $14 from the average of $7ish I was running at the time. There I was, drinking a beer with a mate of mine, checked the old account and my head spun! Of course we had to drink another beer to celebrate

Keep going. Scale it up and test/measure as you go.

Also, you should keep update at least one time a week for each of them. That's will tell SE that your sites are alive and still give the reader some great info.

    Hope all go well.

As of right now MOST of my sites have in fact been wiped. Gone, kuput.

Ok now that that's outta the way, I'm not going to do anything drastic yet, until this whole thing settles down. Would like to see what actually happens a week from now, maybe some will come back? Maybe not? Who knows.

But In all actuality I wouldn't of considered all my sites "low quality". Many of them had really good 1000+ word articles/content on them, that were hand edited and revised by me. It's a shame to see those sites go away, yet some of my lesser "project" sites still up in rankings and making money, ha. Funny how that works.

Anyhoo. I'm just going to keep plugging along, I got more sites that need to get finished, and hopefully in the next week or so things will start getting back to where they were. But I'm not holding my breath.

How have your guys sites been doing?

Really? Can you elaborate for a noob please? Thanks.

Also I am guessing you mean just the micro niche and not the niche type of site. I don't even really understand the difference at this point. Thanks again.

The so-called Micro Niche Site tactic has been losing lately. These were generally very small sites (5 or less pages of content) built around a keyword or two on an EMD. The idea was to rank them fast and the move on. Lately they've been difficult to rank because of changes with Google's algo.

Gotcha. The so called sniper sites right? Too bad looked like a valid idea till Georges latest brainstorm. Now I have to totally rethink how I will do affiliate marketing.

Yeah, these were called sniper sites too.

You're better off building a bigger website for a few reason.

The work you put into the site is cumulative. That means as you keep working on it it gets bigger and bigger. You can put more than one niche on a domain if you want. The micro sites were sort of a fake construct. They became popular because they worked. Over time they start to lose some traction whereas a bigger site gains momentum.
