Google took me out today

Hey,

it's quite funny; a couple days ago I wrote a post here about that I started to see some nice traffic daily. 300-400 unique a days the last 2 days, and had started to make some income on adsense about $10 a day.

This was 5 days ago, Today when I checked my analytics at one point during the day my site went from 20 unique and hour to 0-2 unique an hour.

All my big keywords ranking for number 1,2,3 are gone from Google top 100.

I haven't got a message from Google in any way for unnatural linking etc. All content is unique. And I haven't built any backlinks for at least 2 months, it's most likely 4 months though.

It's quite funny now when I have been sitting here enjoying myself making some extra money, and just the day after you are completely out.

Anyway I'm not sitting here whining, I most likely have made something wrong, but this show just how fragile it was.

I didn't do this as a living or alternative living. This was only a hobby where I had 1 site at 70 pages so it's not the end of the world. Though for me as used this as a small hobby spending an hour or so a day on this, it's a hard blow and I most likely won't get back from this, if I don't miraculously get bounced back to the top.

Anyway, if i don't get back from this, thanks for all the useful information i have got from here!

    Welcome to SEO

Usually leaving a site to rot for 4 months is guaranteed to see you drop out of the SERPS.

Keep doing what you were doing!

what do you expect? this happens all the time. i've had websites make me $50/day consistently for months and then they're gone off Google forever. I was still pumping out fresh content. Google can really destroy some people's livelihoods for no good reason...

If your lively hood is based soley off of your SEO ranks, then you really need to expand your lively hood

I'm sure there was a good reason for them dumping you out of the SERP's.

I think you have to continue link builiding and not stop. If you stop, your rankings will go down

Yep, clients do this all the time, as soon as they rank they don't want to pay monthly anymore, but soon after the link building stops they start to sink fast.

Bouncing back may actually happen somewhere in future. Or you could try to adding more content and get few quality links, then wait a bit and see what happens.

I have seen this story for so many times in the past 5 months... and it will still go on...

Google change the algorithm almost all the time so that is the problem . They test, to see the resuts.

Somebody here said that Google can ruin you in one month. yes this is possible if you have only one websites. Try to make 10-20-30 different sites to the same niche with different approaches and you will always be there to cash in...

yea didnt google update something yesterday? Today I noticed the first page of results for my keyword changed A LOT. A bunch of sites changing positions and a few dropped off page 1 completely. But MY site actually moved UP by 3 spots (from #18 to #15), despite ahrefs telling me i lost nearly 4,000 backlinks in the past few weeks. So clearly this update is doing GOOD things for people doing white hat seo like myself. So what kind of seo techniques were you using?? anything shady??

It happened to me on 23th july, but I was in another situation since it was my main income and allowed me a good living. In the process they also kept the month of june earnings, plus of course the 23 days before the ban.
My 2 attempts at appeal have been unsuccessful as it seems their adsense policy team is composed of monkeys unable to do a simple copy and paste..
I have documented on my site the two appeals I made and the exact same copy and paste answer which had nothing to do with my messages.
I don't even know why I've been banned. The reason given is that one or more of my sites (or maybe not even one of mines) is crap, and so they banned my whole account.
Why not disable ads on this site if it's true? I don't know and will never know because I don't plan on wasting my time a third time for a copy and paste, I already got 2 copies of it.
So now I'm trying to increase my earnings via clickbank, I have a first goal to reach of $500 a week with clickbank only, and then I'll be able to apply the learned skills to other affiliate networks.
And me joigning warrior forum only today despite knowing about it for years is because I thought now is a good time to be a member since it is known to be full of internet marketers, so it's good to be a regular visitor and learn from the past threads.
That's something I should have done a long time ago, but the adsense money was too good and easy, so I was very lazy, because affiliate marketing as a beginner is lot of work to just learn, like everything else :-)

I have now seen that on the same day i got hit on the SERPS i got about 500 backlinks according too Majesticseo and 140 on Ahrefs.com. All from the same domain and the same anchortext. Im kinda hoping this could be the problem.

If you're still in the index, don't worry about it. It's been called the Google Dance.

Keeping adding content and building links and you should jump up again in the SERPs.

Im not knowledge in any way about this but, since the site was built 7 months ago and have been getting content through the whole time. Could it still be a Google dance?

      All pages are still indexed.

Different keywords jump like 200-400 spots in the Serps from a day to day basis so in this aspect it could look like a real tango.

Only 2 days ago there was a Panda refresh from Google. I don't know if that has caused the downfall of your website or not.

Although it seems it is more like Penguin affect rather than Panda, as you mentioned the issue of same anchor text.
