I've had great success with BackLinksGenie.com and SENukeX. Penguin friendly is more about your approach then the backlinking software you use. You can take two people using the same software one will get penalized because of lack of knowledge while the other one will climb to the top because of the correct use of the tool. Spend more time learning the approach the tool is just a tool.

SEnukeX is a great tool but is really expensive. Actually, there is no tool that works for all strategy. You may have to use several tools like senukex, scrapebox, market samurai, etc. Using tools or doing manually have the same process. Anything you do manually can be done via tools, you just have to use it properly since tools can be dangerous especially over-optimization.

Gaw this thread makes me want to throw up

SenukeXCR can post to (or be designed to) post to any site you guys post to manually...

Also if you get GOOD at SEO your time is WAY to valuable to be spent building links manually. Seriously there is a reason why people do it for $3 a hour

Tools are essential for SEO...Submitting manually to ezine articles is not going to get you or your clients ranked in Google for anything even slightly competitive

For every PR n/a link you build, a agency like mine will buy 4 PR 5 links.

With that being said I use

*SenukeXCR - 2.0s, pdf, bookmarks, social profiles
      *Scrapebox - PR1+ comment submission
      *Extreme wiki poster - wikis

I also use a bunch of different high pr networks

Every tool has its place and I use a variety of tools some have been listed above...

Manual is a good way but not always possible...

Senuke works well if you use it properly and not building spamming crappy links.... like scrapebox which is a fantastic tool if used properly but can be the death of you if you dont use it properly.

I outsource all of my manual backlinking these days as I cant be bothered with it in fact I pretty much outsource everything i do now as I prefer to maintain my lifestyle :-)

    Anyway

    Here's a list and some explanations of why I bought them or continue to use them;

Article Marketing Robot - The standard in article marketing. Although it can be a bit clunky to work with, it provides the best results.

Ultimate Demon - Didn't want to pay for SeNuke. Made a one time payment for ultimate demon and couldn't be happier. It targets platforms instead of specific sites, allowing you to update and run your own lists.

Zennoposter - Everything outside of those 2, I make my own scripts for. Zennoposter or uBot both work, but I had a friend that had a huge list of Zennoposter scripts which seemed to help.

It honestly depends on what TYPE of backlinks you're wanting to build... lower quality links (profile links, social bookmarking links, wiki links, web 2.0 links, etc etc etc etc...) or blog network links, press release links, article syndication type links, high pr links, etc etc etc... ?

there's not really a "good" all-in-one-we-build-every-single-type-of-link program out there. So I'd recommend you take a small step back and first figure out the types of links that you're wanting to build and then go from there.

I'm not a big fan of using backlinking software. What I like to do is submit
unique articles for backlinks, social bookmarks, press releases, etc. Let me
take the time to explain. This strategy has got me a ton of top rankings, and
      is STUPID SIMPLE.

      What is Required of You?

      * The willingness to write 2 unique articles a day.
      * About 30 to 45 minutes a day, depending on how fast you write.

Day 1. Write a Unique Article.

You can post this article on a new niche site. In which case, I recommend
having between 5 to 10 articles. You don't need a huge site to be successful.
Alternatively, Blogspot and Squidoo rank really well, so if you're low on cash,
      Blogspot and Squidoo will work.

Day 2+ Submit 2 Unique Articles a Day.

On days 2+, you're going to want to write and submit 2 unique articles a day
to article directories, web 2.0 services, and press release sites. If you can
snag a guest post on a site, feel free to do that as well.

      Schedule:

      Monday - Write money article.
Tuesday - Write 2 articles for SEO.
Wednesday - Write 2 articles for SEO.
Thursday - Write 2 articles for SEO.
Friday - Write 2 articles for SEO.

      rinse and repeat.

      Sites to Submit To.

      Squidoo (PR7)
      Ezine Articles (PR6)
      Blogspot Blog (PR9)
      Hubpages (PR6)
      Go Articles (PR6)

      What You Get?

After just 10 days of work, you get 20, high quality, relevant backlinks to
your site. Write useful information, and you will even get targeted visitors.
Through Panda and Penguin, this is the strategy that has continuously
worked for me, and again, it's STUPID SIMPLE.

      Final Thoughts.

There is nothing special about SEO. Do this strategy for 2 weeks, and it will
work wonders, (unless you're targeting an impossible keyword.)

Feel free to do these things as well:

      * Social Bookmarking,
      * RSS submissions, and
      * Pinging

As a bonus, feel free to submit your backlink URLs to Fiverr (to backlink your
backlinks), NOT your money site. Backlinking your backlinks will help them
      get indexed.

PS: Vary your anchor text. Use words like "click here" or "check this out." Only
use your exact anchor 20% of the time. Also, link with the URL as well.

This strategy as absolutely been killing it for me, and it's STUPID SIMPLE.

Yes manual work will be more exact and precise, but will take a lot more time to do it, if you have a lot of time, and you want to have everything under your manual control? Do it manually... If no - software. Or a mix

        Good advice TTomp13!

This is probably the best approach that I hear time and time again. I think newbies (like myself) tend to over-complicate things. I've been doing this for the last week and I finally have an article ranking. First one!!! ;-)

I do have some questions for you though...

How on earth would you go about backlinking on Fiverr?!?

This is contrary to what I've always heard. Is this just your opinion...or do you have more information to share on this?!?

        Thanks,
        Eileen

PS: Although I'm always looking for profitable niches and examples of others work....I like that you aren't willing to share some of your niches. To me...that's a sign of honesty and that you're doing something right. Take care.

          Hi Eileen,

TTomp13 really outlined a simple and effective step for newbies. The best part is that it gets you working especially if you are new and waste a lot of time reading and not actually taking action.

Now, for your questions, I would like to chime in. Hope TTomp13 doesn't mind.

After your articles get published on directories, simply copy the url where your article is posted. then go to fiverr and order one of those gigs where they build backlinks for you. Give them your list of urls (from your posted articles) and ask them to build links to those pages.

It used to be the way you heard but after the latest Google penguin update, it has been said that Google has targeted those who over optimize and one sign of over optimization is having too many exact match anchor text.

So, to help diversify your anchor texts, it is now advised to use generic anchor texts like "click here" (which is what most people would use to link to you naturally. That way your backlink profile looks more natural.

Is my strategy the best strategy in the world?

            Probably not?

But has it continuously worked through Panda and Penguin?

            Yuuup.

I've tried all of the backlink building techniques in the book. From Paul and
Angela backlinks, to Build My Rank, to home page backlinks... What has
consistently worked through the Panda and Penguin updates is sites that
I used the above strategy on.

So again, is my strategy the most effective strategy?

            I don't know, probably not.

But can you make some money with it by targeting the right keywords?

            Definitely.

This is the technique I follow - in general it is the same but I use a few other web 2.0 properties, blogs and wiki's etc - think I have 18 in total and use 18 social bookmarking sites which I have drilled down to the most unique and best fro my task - and usually do around 5 random per day per article to a maximum of 15 with a day break per article in between - then ping each web 2.0 and so on.

It is a long task to do but time is better than a rushed job and a blast of backlinks through some bit of software.

Do you go deeper than this or is it all you do - any comments to the web 2.0's or further/deeper backlinking

I don't do any MFA or bs sites like that. Every site I create, I have the viewer

the more competitive the keyword, the more difficult it is to rank.

I think people should use left software and more manual link building.

More often that not, the links that are the best are done manually. I could be wrong but my rankings usually go up when I work on High PR contextual links. I've never used a software to get those.

Also, the only software I use is BMD (bookmarking demon) to index and throw some social bookmarks at it pretty much.

I'm not saying this just because I created it but with my Article Submitter Plus software, I was able to secure high rankings to most of my niche blogs.

Some blogs required more than just article submissions but many of them secured the #1 spot just with article submissions!

As of today, the software comes out of the box with 3500 sites! You can get at least 3000 successful submissions.

I used one of the software packages already mentioned in this thread. Unfortunately it did me much more harm than good and along with being part of a now infamous highly recommended private blog network, this completely derailed several of my websites.

These days I don't even think 'backlinks' I think about doing things manually that are aimed at getting traffic.

Automation did not work for me - nor did trusting my blogs to a so called superior blog network either.

There's nothing wrong with manual or automated link building as a matter of fact I recommend using both manual and automated link building.

The idea that some people have who think automating anything automatically equals spam needs to stop.

The fact is automated link building is not only more effective than manual link building if done properly, it's preferred.

The reason to do it manually, especially with high quality sites you are trying to place your link on, is you that have a greater degree of control. If you want to play ball, you've got to have a bat. If you want to play the SEO game, you've got to have the tools to do it.

Far too many people are quick on the "spam trigger" when it comes to using tools.

I prefer manual backlinking of all sorts coz most if those automated tools are there are the reasons behind sites being lost to Panda/Penguine updates

Sites are being lost to these updates because of poor SEO strategy. Lazy marketers leaving behind obvious footprints that give away their attempt to manipulate SERPs. Which is what we're all doing whether we want to call it white hat or not.

A hammer in the hands of a child can result in a terrible accident and lots of broken furniture.

A hammer in the hands of a carpenter can result in an architectural masterpiece.

It's not the automated tool's fault, it's that there are a bunch of people who have the mentality "load up my sites and fire away" thinking the harder they hit the sooner they are going to rank. Then they say "just more proof that automated tools are bad and manual is the only way to go". It's silliness really a lot of people are still running around like chickens with their heads cut off after these last updates.

I use automated tools all the time, I am very careful to leave as few traces as possible, I never "blast" I build slowly and steadily over time. I am ranking for some very competitive keywords with little manual link building.

Using a software to build backlinks is like breathing with the help of ventilator when one can breath naturally.
Just focus on building links manually they provide you better results and for long.

Why does it have to be one or the other? How about you combine
both automated and manual into one diverse link building strategy?

      Makes sense and it works.

If you just have one site you are working on, or maybe 2, doing everything manually is just fine. But if you are regularly putting up new sites (these could be niche sites or client sites) to speed up the process of just creating all of the accounts needed I think an automated software can be just a great time saver.

Then for submitting articles from your posts on your blog to other sites .(spun or not - your choice)... backlinking can be very fast but you control the content you post. Also automation is a great time saver for social backlinking.
Article Submitter Plus - creates profiles
Senuke xcr - create profiles and more

True, I do not every suggest using automation for forum or blog posting since the idea is to get noticed so you DO need to read the thread or the blog before commenting an leave a "real" response. We all recognize the "great post" comments as probably spam.

      just my 2 cents worth

      Have a great day,

I have been around a while and been through a couple of waves- Now use only original content from content sites -not article directories but actual sites - all hosted and individually owned - its a harder path, but my sites stay and dont suffer so much. - am too old to have the hassle....

Everything said and done but I would strongly recommend to do link building manually. Automated software may not be the only way to a Penguin penalty, but can probably the quickest one.

    PEOPLE.

The OP >>>did not ask<<< about your personal opinion regarding manual backlinking.

Its like everyone on this forum has ADD or something. If you're gonna keep bumping a 6 month old thread, at least have the decency to ANSWER THE QUESTION that was ACTUALLY ASKED.

    Like "I use software a, b, c, d".

    OR

"I don't use any software". In which case, why even click on a thread asking WHAT software you use?

    Hi
One software known as SENKUEX is the software, in which it very expensive, and it is user firendly. But manual submission is good compare to using any software or tool. By manual submission there are having lot of advantages, if you need to change or edit the post means we can do. the software or any tool they may give immediate response but the result will be false when checked from manually

90% of the people commenting "manual backling best, automate not work well" etc can barely string a comprehensible english sentence together, which leads me to think they are either retarded (which means they can't use software properly), or they are foreign and once again struggle to comprehend how to use automation software effectivley

I prefer doing it manually. But MarketSamurai is a great tool for keyword research.. Also, SenukeX and ScrapeBox can give you a nice and useful list of HIGH PR websites to get a backlink, but ALWAYS do this manually!!! Manual work is hard, but quite more successful!

    I use UAW, that's all I use..

But on a side note, you can reach pretty fast speeds if you want to do manual web2.0 submissions using macros. Just in case senuke is too expensive for you, and you're only promoting one site.

But I don't use any of that stuff.
