Best wordpress social button plugin?

Hey,

I've spent the last three hours trying out literally 9 or 10 social plugins for wordpress, only to find out that they all suck. Or at least, none of them do what I want them to do.

I currently use Sociable in classic mode, which is great but doesn't support pinterest. I want to change to a plugin which does.

My current buttons look like this:

Notice the way they are correctly lined up with each other: no huge gaps, nothing overlapping, just a nice, simple, professional layout.

I'm looking for a plugin that can display the number of Likes, +1s or Tweets as these smart buttons do.

Can anyone recommend a WP social plugin that can reproduce this look, but with pinterest support?

Some of the plugins I've tried which can't: Jetpack by WordPress.com; Share Buttons by Lockerz / AddToAny; Socialize; Social Sharing Toolkit;

This is really frustrating for me because it's taken up literally hours of my time but feels like it should be really simple.

Please help. Thanks!

I use diggdigg. They have horizontal and vertical. You can chose which ones you want from about 20, pinterest inc. I mainly use the floating vertical bar. They do run counters next to each as well.

You could also try "Twitter Facebook Social Share" which we used to use. It runs either at the top or bottom of your selected post/page and aligns well, but is inside a boarder so slightly different from what you have shown. It didn't have pinterest when i used it last but then at that point nobody had heard of pinterest either so it may have been updated by now.

    Hope this helps m8

Have you tried installing Wordpress' Jetpack?

Alternatively, check out "Social Media Widget" (do a search under 'plugins'). Check my signature to see what it looks like. It doesn't show amount of likes or whatever, but it's pretty decent.

PS. Please hit "thanks" if this post helped you.

Both WPsocializer (WordPress › WP Socializer « WordPress Plugins) and diggdigg (Digg Digg - The Floating Share Bar) fit your needs. And they are free too!.

I use Socialize and it seems to do just what you need. What aspect of Socialize didn't satisfy your requirements?

Well, the good thing about WordPress blog is that your content are easily being crawled. However, I dont rely too much on their plug in. IMO, Blogger has the best widget

I just hard code it into the template file where I want it to appear.

Make sure you load the scripts asynchronously though to improve page load time.

If your going to use a plugin make sure it does that

      Hey Matthew,

This sounds like a good idea.

Is there any place i can find direction on how to do this? I'd rather hard-code it in like your doing than to use plugins.

      In Many Thanks,
      Kyle
