How To Request Backlinks

Hi is there is anybody that could please provide a template or advice on requesting backlinks from site owners. Do I ask for a reciprical link, a paid link or a 1 way link or a combination of the above. Also at what stage of the sites development should I request a link or does this matter ? Im presuming I should be getting some natural traffic before asking.

Any advice appreciated.

    Write a nice blurb or article about their business, post on your site, send them a notice and suggest they link to it.

  • I recommend you not to do this. There are automated methods out there nowadays that streamline the link building process.

    Asking for links is an old strategy that requires too much manual work for little gain (compared to automation)

    those are official sites.
  • Thanks for those links I have'nt read the sales pages yet but I will do. My plan was to initially request links from page ranked relevant sites and then later on after Ive made some money get something like article marketer ?

  • ebizza, have you tried 3waylinks or 1waylinks? if yes, how are the results.. any positive/negative impact.. just curious...
  • I get hundreds of emails from people requesting reciprocal links and I just delete them, its a very old strategy and usually isnt the best way to do it. You want links that look natural.

  • you can write the site admin/webmaster requesting link exchange. Pr3 and up is good but it is more important how relevant both page are
