Google kills backlinks?

Hello.
Six months ago, I created a website dedicated to the health of the oral cavity. I added to the site every day a new article, 100% unique, volume of 800-1000 words. Site promotion strategy was the following:

1. Spin the article
2. UniqueArticleWizard (UAW)
3. BacklinkBanzai
4. SeoContentNetwork
5. SocialMonkey

This strategy has been applied to each article. Within 5 months, visits to my site has grown to 1,300 visitors a day. And composes more than 30,000 unique visitors per month. But in the sixth month Google sent me an email that my site links are too many low-quality links, and then the visitors began to diminish.

Now I will start a whole new site. My strategy to promote your site is now changing in the direction of quality. It consists of the following steps:

1. Write a good article for the site, the volume of articles about 1000 words.
2. Wait a week until Google index the article.
3. Write four short articles, each of which a volume of 400 - 500 words.
4. Each week, one of the small articles to distribute to article directories (not spin articles). Only quality article directories (PR6-2), 30 article directories for example.
5. Add videos from Youtube, Video with links.
6. 10 links from forums (high PR forum)
7. 10 links from blogs (high PR blogs)
8. Answer sites.
9. 10 Web 2.0 sites.

For each article links periodically add, not all at once.
I want to give up any payment for backlinks, except services indexing backlinks.

This strategy will work?

Someone said that the reference to the article directories are no longer effective, links from forums is also not effective, etc.

  • There is actually no specific number of backlinks a site should need in order to be "loved" by google. Just have quality content that people want to read and the google love will return...
  • Yes, try getting links from as many authority domains as possible, high in Alexa ranking not just PR, these are viewed more as legit links among other important things..
  • Would be nice if Google just plainly stated what they think are good backlinks to your site so you can just do that and everyone is happy. Or.... does Google state this somewhere? Is it just a big guessing game that we have to try and test to find out?

    If you're work in promoting a site with backlinks, then try to consider natural looking links, authority, relevancy, and other measure to make it such a "quality-backlinks"
  • When you create so many backlinks all at once then you have a big problem. Your backlinks should be from high profile and authoritative sites. Forum posting, article submission and many other off page optimization techniques.

    I never heard that google send email about too many low quality backlinks.. I suppose you are talking about unnatural link building email...

    Any way.. what have you done is what google want....

    Let me explain you....

    Since G is only an algo is very difficult for them to know if your link is on a related webpage or not... they can make some presumption but not have an accurate data because there are many variable to take in consideration and until now they didn't find a way to have precise data about this.

    Second they can not know if you build that link or somebody else and because of that they can not make drastic moves about that because they risk to lower valuable website from serps once competitors start to build negative backlinks to those website.

    So here is what they do (I have also read something about this but I can not find it right now) they send you signal (email, position drops) to see how you react...

    So... if they thing there is something wrong with your backlinks and you hit some red flags then the algo send you some signals... They thing that something is wrong with your website then they send you an email... if there is something wrong and you stop the backlink building campaign then they see that as they are correct and drop your website. If you continue then they assume that their marks was incorrect and since people will still build backlinks to your website even if you drop in serp then they must take you for granted and give the value back to your website.

    I have many website that one in a while they drop for a few weeks and this is normal since my backlink campaign is very aggressive but all of them come back higher and stronger.

    In all this we must not forget that, as denysapu said

    Making your link to look as natural as possible is the key this days... And you can achieve that by using diversity anchor text and lower the percentage of your main kw/kw's in the total number of backlinks and substitute them with long tail kw with your main kw/kw's in them.

    About your strategy I can not say anything since I never test that approch but it's look ok.

    In SEO testing, feedback, tune... are the main words.

  • The solution is not abandoning your 30, 000 unique visitor a month site.

    If you revisit your back link portfolio, scrutinize your site and fix the issue with your site you can easily back bounce in a bigger way.

    You need to ramp up your new campaign strategy a bit to be efficient.
