Content is surely a king but a king alone cannot win wars.It has to walk hand in hand with other factors as well which are Keywords,meta tags,anchor text,alt tag etc.(or you can say they are soldiers of the king).

Quality content is king. But don't think quality as length of an article. Think value for the user. If it has value users will link, tweet and share it.

I personally think that content is great in order to maintain visitors and/or convert them into sales..leads etc..and you can get links due to your content, so if you have really good content its king but in the long term.

Yeah Content indeed is a king. Search engine loves content but it should be original (no copied) and relevant.

Again, not necessary to write write long article but whatever you write it should be unique and relevant to your offerings. You can include images and videos but don't forget to optimize them.

Does it really matter? You need BOTH content + backlinks. You need BOTH quality content (long, correct grammer, etc) + quality SEO/Backlinks (high PR, diverse, optimized on-page, etc). The problem is you can't just pick one or the other...

Content plays a vital role in seo, your content must be unique, interesting and genuine. It's better if you have media rich content which includes images, video. Keep update your website on regular basis. According to my suggestion it would be better if you create blog and update it on regular basis in order to serve content freshness to users and search engines.

Not all contents are king, quality content is sure king. You don't know if your article is better than other peoples content all you need to focus on is creating a visitor friendly article that is brief, concise and informative. Writing a long article doesn't make it a quality one.

I think that OP needs to answer some of those questions for his or her own self.

Content is king is you are wanting user's to be returning. A good article will increase your visitor's interest on what you are selling. Scripts are used to make things happen; if you are trying to use a script to increase your site in some sort of way for SEO purposes, I don't think it's a good. There are also other things that matter as well; keywords used, tags, link backs, etc.

I believe in clean coding as it will allow the crawlers to navigate and grab the appropriate links that are available on your site.
