I have a small site that has the #1 spot in google for a popular keyphrase but I only get clicked 55% of the time. The article title and meta description are optimized but the domain is definitely not related to the article. So now I want to get another domain and put this article there. Since the exact match domain for my key phrase is taken, what would you suggest? Any of these?

www.mykeyphrase.info (com net org not available)
www.my-key-phrase.net (com not available)
www.mykeyphraseBLAH.com

My guess is that it doesn't matter but I thought I'd ask.

EMD's aren't all that important anymore. If you're #1 already, then having an EMD will probably increase that by 1%.

Since I'm trying to increase the click through rate (currently 55%), any related domain would be good, right?

Not necessarily. What if buy a new domain and you can't rank it #1? Or it takes months? All that lost revenue..

I would 301 redirect the article to the new domain. I've maintained SERP by doing this before.

I would go with the suffix form, such as "keywordhq.com" or "keywordpro.com". Honestly I don't know if you're visitors will improve that much from this but you can test it and see what happens. I'm assuming you're guessing 55% because of what keyword tool tells you. However, keyword too is not always correct. For all you know the term could be getting searched much less and you could be getting a crazy high click rate.

Don't really see how this could help with you already ranked #1

    It's not worth it.

The average number one is 50% you are higher than that.

Hyphens in domain names don't matter much, if at all, for rankings.

But they matter for branding and reducing confusing of you're telling someone the domain name.

If your already #1 with 55%ctr, great. I would leave it there and try to rank for other KW phrases for even more traffic. If you really want to be aggressive I would register a bunch of LSI exact match .info's and throw articles on them with anchors back to your money site
