Question related with copy and paste content

I just received an email from a webmaster of the other site. Here is his original email

"I was just reading a few of your articles and tips and thought your
content would be great for my dating site. Would like to ask you if we
can feature some of your post and RSS feeds into our site for our
members."

I don't mind other people to share my article and I know to not copy and paste other people's content into my site. My questions is if he copy and paste my original content into his site, will that effect my site's search result in google search or it's only going to affect his website?

Thank you for your help.

It's possible he could out rank your pages with your copy/paste content, depends on which one has the better quality internal/external links.

    • It effects his website, since your content is indexed in Google first. I he Copy and Paste your content then he will be considered spam.
  • It depends on who's content got indexed by Google's bot first.

Thank you for answer my question...Hmmm..so I got two different kind of answers. I don't know what should I do now.

I believe my content should indexed in Google first since it's my original writing and I am using google map. But if it's depends on the better quality internal/external links, I am not so sure. Because I am not blogging to make money, so I really didn't do much marketing with my site. Most of my traffic come from google search itself because of my content. On the other hand, the owner of the site running a Asian dating site, so the chance is he may work a lot harder than me to promoted his site. So if it's like what yukon said, the chance is he may out rank my page.

I will think about it. Thank you all very much.
  • Given he mentioned "members", it is quite possible he will only publish your content behind a membership site, in which case, search engines wouldn't be able to access it.
