Hi Guys,

I want to rank a page on my brand new website for the keyword
"how to create a blog"

How long will it take me to rank for it and what's the best thing to do to get it ranking.

This keyword has medium competition (.53) as shown on keyword tool.

        I definitely won't try to beat blogger.com, but I think this website "howtostartablog.org" which ranks #4 could be beatable. It only has one page of content and not many backlinks. I don't know how it's able to rank so well..

    LOL! No one can tell! Depends on your strategies it can rank faster. But you cannot tell what rank and the time frame. Google Search is a bloody mess!

    The only answer to this question can only be given after your SEO work is done to optimize with this keyword and how effectively you are doing it.No one can tell the answer to this question mate.Just do the work you have to do after considering the competition on this keyword.

    Which means virtually nothing when it comes to the competition ranking.

    That number is the competition for Adwords.

    While it would be possible to rank on page 1 (you'd never knock blogger.com from #1), you would need a very serious amount of SEO work to get it there as the competition is very stiff.

    We can never tell how long does it take for your keyword to be ranked. Basically, in my experience, I have ranked a keyword in just one week. Why? It is because I have built quality links and I don’t have that much competitors.

    A Competitor is one of the factors why your keyword won’t rank that much. If they are too good for you, then you will have the difficulty in ranking your keyword. However, if you will just do quality link building, it may help you. Some people say a certain time for your keyword to be ranked, but for me it won’t matter because it will always change as per search. We can’t say that it will rank for 2 days or a week because it depends on the competition. I just said above that I ranked it for just 1 week because I have built good links and I don’t have that many competitors.
