Are sites such as Myblogguest.com a good way to get fresh content for your site?

What negatives are there compared to writing content yourself, aside from the obvious fact that the content won't be written from your own viewpoint, opinion, etc..

Also, is it hard to find guest posts on sites like this if your site is only a PR0 or PR1?

  • The content is poorly written, primarily for backlinks. A whole blog made up of posts like these will provide a poor user experience.
  • I agree, sites like myblogguest.com lack quality blogs. Most of them range from PR0 to PR3.
    But it's not that hard to find niche related quality blogs to guest post on I have a secret :p
  • I guess the question was about the quality of the content provided as a guest post, rather then how much PR juice flows through the websites within myguestblog.

    You will find posts well written, with images that make sense .. and you'll also find content that has been spun and does not read. You can filter out the bad content. It only takes like a couple of minutes to find if a post is worthy of publishing .. or not.

    My suggestion? Invite your competitors to guest blog. If they write well and often, then you'll have fresh quality content, while they get backlinks and traffic. I'm sure almost everybody will favor your request of publishing in their blog once they have successfully submitted posts to yours.

    • I couldn't agree more with you on that! There's nothing better than making your competitor take hours out of their day to produce a phenomenal blog article for your site.

      They're basically working for free and putting their reputation on the content in exchange for a link. This strategy should not be overlooked for competitive industries and in scenarios where both brands are established in the market.

      We are thoroughly moderating the guest posts within the gallery but quality is such a subjective matter! So we filter bad-grammar too linky articles out and let the publishers decide the rest for themselves.

      I have AWESOME blogs that get guest content weekly. Example: manifestconnection.com

      So it's all really about how well you do your job as a publisher (maintaining the quality of the resource)

      You are also welcome to rate and report any spammy attempt you come across there.

  • Basically, I consider guest blogging networks, like Myblogguest, a source for filler contents on any of my websites. I write my own contents, and when my mood does not align with writing, I look up relevant posts at guest blogging networks to find relevant contents and save myself time while saving my energy for the next site update.
  • Have you tried contacting webmasters in your niche to ask to guest post in exchange for a link back to your website?

    That is the best way.
  • By and large, sites like those are flooded with marketers that peddle poorly written content just for the sake of links. But you can specific in your requirements and you may get good stuff.

    In the years joining BLU & MBG, I've actually only come across two true bloggers. One of them I bought out and made an employee.

    • In very narrow niches you don't have to search blogs with exactly the same topic. You could also look for general blogs about cars and publish your article in the matching category.

  • Guest blogging I think is simply same as article posting but it wants only original and unique content which not posted on any other sites.
  • Here is some little secret of how i have found how to guest post or have your content syndicated on good sites for free.

    1. Write top quality unique content on a hot topic, content must be written in English accent.

    2. Publish on top traffic sites article directories (EZA, Articlesbase e.t.c), web 2.0 (Squidoo, Hubpage e.t.c), top free and paid press release sites and the likes.

    Webmasters will publish your content on their site for FREE with a link back to you.

    This is an old strategy but unfortunately because of the SEO tools on market people have become lazy and regard this as a waste of time.

    If you do this twice every week for 3 months, you will witness a great upsurge in traffic and crazy ranking..

    • If you want to use guest posting for traffic and link building, write quality articles and then find sites and blogs related to your niche. If you want to receive guest posts, create a special page on your website and list your instructions. Encourage your readers and social media contacts to write guest posts.
