Any SEO Advice regarding Passing On PageRank Juice Through a 'no follow' link

Lets say for easiness here a site has 1 page with 20 outbound links.

If 10 of those are no follow, would the PR juice be spread of the remaining 10 follow links? Or would only 50% of the juice be available for the remaining following links.

Meaning that Google would take the juice form the page that a no follow would normally suck out of it but simply not credit the destination site that link is pointing to?

I have always wondered about this?

  • Google said a while ago that they changed the way PageRank flows through no-follow links. They said it's close to the second scenario. It was implemented to stop PageRank sculpting.

  • Yeah, nofollow links take PR juice away but pass no PR credit. So if you have 20 links where only 10 are "follow", they get about 50% of your "page PR".
