Healthy Backlinks for a New Site

Hi, I'm a newbie wondering if I could get some SEO services advertised in the Warriors for Hire section.

Let's say the site is fairly new, around 1 month old and is already indexed, is it advisable to get link building services? Or do I wait for a few more months?

I've only understood the basics of link building and I don't have access to some automated tools so I wanted to outsource this. Won't Google penalize me for what they call as 'unnatural' links?

Well you can and should definitely start building links, just not too aggressively. Also really focus on onpage SEO. Having proper on page SEO, building a wide variety of backlinks and keeping fresh and relevant content and you'll get your site ranking!

All the links sold in Warrior for Hire are 'unnatural' links. People buy them with the knowledge that they're taking a risk, and (hopefully) are prepared for the consequences.

Oh I see. I think I'll start then with some manual link building since some of the keywords I'm targeting are low in competition. I'm looking at some keywords with high volume of searches and competition though so I'm open with working on some SEO providers in the future to help me on that.

If you have not started using them yet, I suggest avoid them. Better do it manually.

Like other members mentioned at the early stage of your website focus on on page SEO. But at the same time start getting high quality back link from related sites.

In this day and age remember to focus on Quality rather than Quantity, especially if your site is in it's infancy.

    • Building links is one of the best things you can do for your website. However, avoid using automated tools especially if you are not familiar with them. Focus on organic link building and you will soon see the first results.

You can start small - add one or two quality links every week. You can then increase the number of backlinks slowly, but don't forget to add content on the site as well. It looks more natural if number of backlinks grow together with content.

I actually like to do this backlink think myself. The thing is, I don't know much about it aside from the usual blog commenting/forum posting strategies. I've been working for years as a freelance writer and I never got the chance to learn practical SEO. Some of the WSOs I bought also recommended the use of automated software so I need to read up on SEO more to make sure I'm doing it right. I would love to hear SEO courses/WSO recommendations for beginners.
