Try to make each page of a website individually keyword optimized.
Attempt to make simple and correct coding with minimum complications.
Attempt to build up the file name of the page descriptive by using the target keywords.

These are the basic tips; you must follow for on-page optimization, which is necessary when starting a new website. Now to ensure a higher Google rank, you must follow some basic guidelines as well. If you are ambitious enough, read ahead to know the more elaborate and essential tips which can bring a real change in your blogging experience.

Put up quality content

This is the most obvious and the most crucial point, make sure your pages comprise of trusted, quality, authentic information, which is written keeping mind the requirement of targeted readers.

Maintain adequate length in the content

It's easy to keep your content thin, but take the harder way around. Google looked upon the amount of pages indexed in as a positive gauge therefore the more indexed pages are there the better.

However what happens when if you find a lot of thin content, lots of below average content and lots of similar content on different pages, in your website? You can follow three different ways to resolve this issue.

First, you can delete poor quality pages. Though it's a quick and easy solution out, but you might face difficulty if you end up deleting the wrong pages leaving the problem pages intact. It can result in broken links and messed up navigation structures.

Secondly, you can leave out old pages and replace them with new quality content but remember anytime the new quality content can get adversely affected, if there is similar existing content on the site.

Last but not the least, you can update and improve problem pages, though it is the most difficult and time consuming option. Attempt to find the problem pages, update and upgrade the content, then check other pages thoroughly to ensure that you haven't got too similar content on too many other pages throughout the site.

Keep the aforementioned points in mind if you want your site appearing on the first page of Google.

Do you own the original source of this information or you just copy and paste it here?

Because I noticed this is a blog post that copy the exact content.

    Edited:
I noticed in your signature you own the site, nice share, but wondering why you copy the whole article in here.

Don't you think this will be in the future a duplicate content issue of your site?

It would be better if you create a quality content (or just revised the content of the old page) rather than deleting the page .

This has nothing to do with rankings...at all. I have ranked dozen of near empty crap sites for large keywords (5k+ exact at least)

Also length of content also just does not matter...sorry

An no PR does matter for your ranking. PR effects the power of links the site produces. OF COURSE if a site has a high PR, it means it has a lot of links going to it, so naturally it is going to rank.

However you will consistently see optimized PR 0s out ranking non optimized PR 1-8. Optimization plays a much bigger role in where you show up
