Was I penalized or just google dance?

Hey guys,

I think i got either penalized (hope not) or hit by "Google Dance".

Basically, i am down 2,000 hits as of this hour. I typically have 15k hits and only have 13k hits by 10pm pacific time.

So i searched for some keywords im normally ranked 2nd for, etc. And this is what I discovered

- Some keywords remained where they're at
- some keywords went up 1 row higher like 5th place to 4th place
- then i'd say other the other 50% of keywords dropped to page 2 and some completely just dissapeared from google, or just dropped 1-2 rows.

Was I penalized? or google dancing.

THIS IS SCARY...my life depends on my site.

    I have a trusted site with lots of social media pointing to my site. I guess u can say "natural" links. My visitors do my SEO for me per se.

    Sometimes due to various reasons your ranking may appear different to different country users and it all is based on the Google servers they access.

    If you dont have the original positions on a day or so, then you must check your external links. If you had lost some valuable links, this even might be the reason for your ranking downfall.

    It doesn't seem like there is a penalty on your website, as there are some improvements too.

    I've been reading a lot of google dance reports lately. I wonder if they are working on stuff and doing tests.

    Give it a few days and see what happens.
