Google website description

I'm new to SEO and websites in general, and also Wordpress. As I was building my website with wordpress, I believe my site got indexed by google. When I search it now, I find my websites description is still the "default" wordpress description.

I have gone though and updated my homepage description, and all the meta descriptions on each page. I still see the old description when I search for my site however.

How long does it take for google to see the changes?

It can take any where from a few hours to weeks even, especially with newer websites. Your best bet is to keep adding new content and it will get noticed.

Incredibly variable. Anywhere from a few seconds to a few months.

Generally for new sites you could expect it to be in the region of a few weeks.
