What would be the effect of 500 articles?

What would be the effect of 500 unique articles sent to different article directories with a high page rank? I noticed that a lot of article directories like ezine have a high page rank so I think that sending 500 unique article not spinned like to send 2 articles per day would boost my website ranking which is actually on 5th page on google for most of my keywords.
Please tell me if I'm wrong about this?

    If each article is unique, then they would most likely give you a boost, considering you're choosing high ranking sites.

    You should also publish a few of your unique articles on Hubpages and Squidoo and similar websites. They can boost your ranking and i assume you already know about the new penguin update which penalize websites using the same anchor text again and again.

    My Service makes regular use of article directories. Usually doesn't take more than a few dozen high-pr directories to put you on page 1 for low competition keywords.

    Of course, if your competing with 10,000 webmasters, 500 may not quite do it, although you should rise a few spots. Or pages.

    That would make a big boost on your website considering that all of the 500 articles are unique and not spinned. post it to high ranking article directories like ezinearticles.
