Crawl Error - Google Webmasters

Hi

I recently checked Google Webmasters and have found 1000s of 404 Not found Crawl Errors.

The site is powered by Wordpress

There seems to be extra digits being added to the end of the URLs listed under crawl errors,

Example:
MySite.com/videos/funny-pranks-in-july/23234/22334455/2233584950

This section of the url leads to a working page.
MySite.com/videos/funny-pranks-in-july/23234/22334455/

However with the extra numbers at the end of the url, (/22335849500) I get the 404 error.

Any idea, what could be causing this, or what the best cause of action should be to fix this.

Thankyou
Kind regards

As indiainternet2012 pointed out, if you run your site through the validation link above, you'll see what the errors are. Then, you can google to see how to fix those errors.

It could be also be a plugin - if you can see the date the crawl error first happened, perhaps you can track down what changes you made to the site that day to pinpoint the source of the problem.

Nothing to do with anything like the above. Besides, most
people here using WP, asking questions, probably could not fix
      any code.

A little research would reveal that google is sometimes picking
up strange things via javascript, search script, or something.

404 errors are never really any worry, although webmasters
freak out. 404 errors won't cause any ranking problems, unless
of course, the real pages went offline. 404 errors on
      nonexistent pages are a non-issue.
      But yes, they do
      make some webmasters freak out.

"nonexistent," meaning never intended to create or exist.

    Hi

I fixed all errors in the validator, the error still seem to be present.

I noticed that none of the 404 errors were inside my sitemap, every URL in the sitemap links to an active page.

Could you please recommend anything else I could try to fix these errors appearing in Google webmasters

    Thanks

I told you the truth. Did you not read my reply?
It's most likely caused by a javascript being somehow
      read wrongly by google.

      Nothing to worry about.

Those crawl errors for pages that are not real, never
intended to be real, or anything else like that are
      not worth fretting over.

      Official google reply:
It does look like we're picking up something funny via JavaScript there. We're looking into what can be done in this particular case. In the meantime, keep in mind that 404 errors of URLs that are invalid (like these appear to be) are not something that would affect your site's indexing or ranking, so while I understand that they may be confusing (and I'm sorry for the number of URLs here), it's not something that you'd need to take action on.
You could get rid of every plugin that uses javascript, and any other
javascript. But probably impossible to remove them all without
      screwing up the site.

If you coded your own site, and if you can clean up any other
errors yourself, no reason to be using WP at all.
