As we don't have much control over off-page optimization so only one thing we can do is on-page optimization, we should try our best to do on-page optimization well for higher ranking. Writing articles in proper keyword density and in 1000+ words would also help..

Apart from this we should build brand name, for this we may have to go for paid advertising as well.

Right behind you there. All my efforts start with clean coding that validates correctly. Minimised HTML and CSS plus image optimization to achieve fast page loading and although I am by no means the best wordsmith, I do look closely at keyword density.

Completely agree. I always spend around 2-3 hour per article after making initial draft to make sure that it properly SEO optimized.

Agree... there is no assurance that the length of your article will ensure you a good SEO.

You can write a 350 words high quality article that provide high value to your visitors, at the same time will help your on page optimization

LOL... Some awful tips there. You don't need 1000 words to be doing onpage SEO correctly.

And keyword density? Some of you people focus on some really stupid stuff.

The good onpage optimization is the keyword density should not be more than 3 percent of whole article you write.
