Webmaster Tools - Remove URLs

Two days ago I used the Remove URLs option in Webmaster Tools to remove a blogger blog. Today, I looked at it to check the status, but it says;

#search engine optimization #remove #tools #urls #webmaster
  • When you go to the Remove URLs section, you have to change the drop-down box at the top to Show "All", in order to see the status of past removal requests.

    • Just noticed that. It says "Removed" when I select show all. However, when I search for part of the blogs content in quotes in Google the blog shows up. Does this mean that it's OK to put the content on another site or do I need to wait until it's no longer showing in Google when I type part of the content in quotes.

      @nest28. Yes it did look like that apart from the URL was shown twice, so it looked like:

      http://medicaltechniciancareers.blogspot.com/

      Also, it didn't say "Site removal" in the column. It said "Web page removal".

  • When you submitted the request did it look like this:

  • Have you any idea why it said Web page removal instead of Site removal as shown in your screenshot. Could this mean that it has only actually removed the main page of the blog from the serps?

    • Normally it says that when you enter a page from you site, instead of the root domain. Entering the root domain should remove all instances of your site.
      Cancel the request and resubmit it, and make sure it says site removal.
