SEO fast indexing issue

I used a fast indexing/pinging software and ran it on the smallest number of pings but my client's website dropped from page two right down somewhere past page 10 the next day.

Have I f***ed this up completely or is there some way I can come back from this???

  • Don't worry. Its most likely a google dance. Since the recent changes google will naturally drop rank and it will recalculate where to put the website.

Calm down and have a cold one

There could be several factors affecting the site position but i doubt if pinging is one of them, have you checked the quality of the backlinks pointing to the site recently and has the number of dead links increased as many sites have been taken down in recent months.

The number of backlinks were good even before I started on it... I just submitted to Social Monkee and ran a ping/indexer on the main url, the pages and the social bookmarks from SM...

I did this before on one of my own sites and I am at position 2 on page 1 for my keyword so I just got a horrible sinking feeling when I saw this one drop off the radar!
