I just don't get it...

Well, seeing my sites disappearing from Google doe not give me a heart attack because I am not alone. But seeing my competitor page that have 78 duplicates compared to mine (non) ranked number 3 while mine is zero is devastating...

I just don't get what Google is trying to do? I think it's not all about just EMD with poor content. I think it's all about just "EMD" regardless of the content. How can they ranked a site with 78 duplicates higher than a site with unique and informative content?

whew, Google is truly unbelievable....

    I think they're still tweaking it. I've seen so many crappy search results since 28/9 it's unbelievable. Definitely not a perfect algorithm... yet.

    There are tons of junk sites with duplicate content and keyword stuffing everywhere as well as mass spammed blog comments and reciprocal links. I don't get it either?

      You certainly are the king of EMDs, but seriously. You scrape
      together amazon content and sell amazon items...so
      why shouldn't people just go to amazon in the first place?

      There is no reason to for google to send people to your luggage
      site....just to buy from amazon.

      You even claim an inventory of 50,000! You don't have the
      inventory, amazon does!

      I guess I just don't get it.

        LOL that is a new site so It is not included in my old EMDs that were ranked high before. That site is experimental and I am not expecting too much from it. My car repair site (business site) which is not EMD is not affected. I think Google is focusing more on company sites but still I don't see the point of ranking pages with lots of duplicate contents than those with unique just because they are EMDs...

        You nailed it on the head. Google's focus is to reward people looking to build BRAND sites. Sites with community. The days of "infomediaries" (ie., suck up traffic to send to actual site that fulfills the orders) may soon be over. The old affiliate marketing model might be in for some rough changes for those caught unaware.

      And yes, you're right, I checked the how to get pregnant site. It took me 3 seconds to be able to tell that the content is crap.

        The sites on my sig have nothing to do with my writing service. Articles on my sites are created by trainee writers who are not part of my poll of experienced writers. I am running a real business offline with my car repair shop (rautofix.com) that is still on top of google for local keywords so this thread is not about all of my sites. Everyone has both crap and quality sites and that is the truth.

    But we have to judge you by them and the fact that you would post those type of sites with weird content and spammy structure in sig tells us that you may have no idea how to judge quality. Nothing personal.

      Autoblogs were doing before google's consecutive updates that's why those sites I have were part of some kind of blog network before... Not working with later updates though...
