I have a gambling related site that has been serving adsense ads for a year or
so. Now I get an email from google saying ads are not allowed on gambling sites. They use to allow adsense ads on affiliate gambling sites. I guess they changed their policy.

The only constant with google is change.

      Acceptable sites:

Sites with play-for-fun games, contests, sweepstakes, raffles
Location-based gambling sites (hotel casinos and destination travel sites)
      Sites promoting fantasy sports
Sites selling books, ebooks, magazines, TV shows that discuss gambling-related activities
Discussion forums or blogs about gambling that don’t drive traffic to online gambling sites
      Sites selling gambling equipment
Sites that drive traffic to online gambling sites through referral links or advertising
      Unacceptable sites:

Online gambling sites, such as online casinos or online wagering sites
Sites that drive traffic to online gambling sites, such as through organic links
It's not that they don't allow gambling sites, they do.
Your site probably was like the two listed as unacceptable.

Remember that google tells you over and over not to take
just the rules they state, but all other underlying rules as
well that cannot all be spelled out.

So, at first glance you may read the last line of the acceptable sites
and think, hey, I'm good to go. There is a subtle difference between
just having referral ads on a site as opposed to being an
      affiliate site.

In the end, google reserves the right to cancel anyone at anytime.
Your site may have violated other terms like family-friendly, etc.

My site drives traffic to gambling sites which they say is allowed. Plus it was ok for a year and now its not. This is kinda what they did with adwords. Get a letter about changes coming, get a warning about your site and then bam you get
Kicked out. Good thing adsense is just a small portion of my earnings.
First adwords, then panda and penguin and now this. Well at least I can
    See it coming.
