Adding the word "review" to all post titles- Does it hurt?

I have about 80 product reviews on my Amazon site and almost all of them include the word "review" in their titles like Sony Xperia P LT22i-SL review, Sceptre X325BV-FHD review, LG BP220 review etc...

I'm doing this because most of the "gurus" advise it as it brings targeted traffic to your site and it woks. However, I have started to get woried after the recent Google algo changes.

Is it possible that Google perceives this as a keyword stuffing or think I have over-optimized my site around the keyword "review" and punish me?

  • That is not keyword stuffing, lol

    Keyword stuffing is when you put a huge cloud of any possible keywords that you can think of (like people often do with craigslist ads)

    OR when you put invisible text on your page (blending with the background) so nobody can see that you have this giant wall of keywords.

    But simply putting "review" at the end of each title is nowhere near keyword stuffing. I dont think you have anything to worry about.

  • It's only just occurred to me how often I search for something with 'review' in the search when I'm on the verge of making a big purchase. I hadn't really thought about it in terms of SEO.

    • This is why my own sites do so well - I think like a consumer. Many IMers don't do that.
  • Sorry guys, my English isn't so good. Do you mean consumers add the word "review" while they are searching for a product or they don't do it at all?
  • If I'm going to get sony xperia, I will definitely use the term "Sony Xperia review" and I think there is nothing wrong in it.

  • There is nothing to worry about that. The main thing is each of every review is for each of every different products. So don't worry about that.
