Attention experienced Amazon Affiliates: Making $1000/day with Amazon

Hi, I posted few threads earlier on warrior and haven't got any response from good senior members here on forum. So, this time I used my copy writing skills to get attention of most of the warriors here. Please read on and I would really appreciate if you can provide some help.

To reach my target of making $1000/day, I need help from experienced amazon affiliates. Below are some questions that I need answered from experienced amazon affiliates. Would be great for me, as well as for other new affiliates, if you can answer point to point:

1. First, I have heard people saying that contact manufacturers of the products listed on amazon, and ask them for more info in order to write a killing review. I can't see any contact details available on amazon, so question is how can I contact manufacturers?

2. As you know there are product pictures available with each amazon listing, so can I use them on my blog, in review? Is it safe that way or do I need to get permission before using them?

3. There are video reviews available on amazon. Can I use them on my blog? Is there any way to embed those videos into my reviews?

4. Can you please list any other good affiliate programs that work like amazon and pay commission for sales not clicks?

I look forward to get good response from warriors this time

Oh I thought you would give away a guide of how to make $1k/day

I know Commission Junction is a good one that pays per sale.

Would care less about the images and video's, just grab some video downloader and upload it to Youtube and embed it, job done.

That's a good suggestion, but is it safe? Well, it looks safe as I will just be embedding them on my site, but will the videos will remain on youtube due to copyright issues?

    1. Just goto the manufactures website and to their contact page. However, that isn't necessary in most cases because manufactures usually have more info on their site for products anyway.

    2. You can use the regular product pictures, but you can't use images uploaded by customers.

    3. Your best move would be to ask Amazon via their feedback link then you know for sure. They only take less than 48 hrs to reply.

    4. Commision Junction is one, but no physical product affiliate programs have a CR as good as Amazon's.

Thanks for this good helpful reply. If I get more details on manufacturer's website(including images and videos), do I need to take permission from manufacturer before using them on my website? Or I can straight away go and share them on my website?

Yes, you need to get permission to use images and video from the manufactures website, but usually Amazon provides several images for a product so it isn't necessary.

Also, often most products have a manufactures video on YouTube which you can embed on your site so if you can't use the video from Amazon then it isn't a problem.

Anyway, let me add few more questions regarding Amazon affiliate program for experts to answer:

        1. I know that to increase referral rate to 6%, we need to refer 7 items. But, to increase referral rate, do I have to refer 7 items each and every month or just once setting referral rate to 6% permanently for lifetime?

        2. I already have Amazon affiliate account with US version, yesterday I signup for Canada version, first change I noticed was "Increase your referral rate to 6.00% by referring 4 more items." Why there is difference between performance fee structure of US and Canada version?

Also, do I have to reach minimum payout separately on both the versions of Amazon i.e. US and Canada? Or, earnings from both the program will combine and I will get paid from Amazon.com i.e. US version?

        3. I add review of products based on specs found on Amazon, what is the best way to tell users of my site that what they are reading is just a product analysis based on specs.

        Anybody answer the questions please...
        1. It resets each month, as GGpaul said.

        2. I don't know the precise reason, but it's probably got something to do with the fact that the Canadian market is smaller than the US so they have a different commision structure.

Yes, you need to reach the minimum payout seperately for US and Canada as they are seperate programs.

        3. If you write your reviews from a 3rd person perspective i.e. not from someone who has used the product then your readers should already be aware your review is based on specs so you don't need to state that.

      2) I recently called Amazon with a question about something else and i got chatting with the rep about images. According to her the only images you are allowed to use on your site is the one that is provided via the "link to this page" thingy.

Yeah, that pretty much sucks. The image they provide is 160 x 160. Smaller than what they provided a few years ago via that link. She said you are not allowed to copy other images for your site.

It might be worthwhile to try and connect with another agent to see what they have to say, but I haven't. I kept asking her about it but she was pretty emphatic.

Thanks for the response, at least I got answer to one question. BTW any particular reason for disabling comments on product review pages on your site?

If you're still looking for an alternative, you can also take a look at Skimlinks. They have relations with thousands of manufacturers/retailers including Amazon, E-Bay, etc. and a lot of niche stuff. I became a member with them but didn't have the time to implement their links on my sites.

I mainly work with Amazon UK. here the commission structure is completely different to the US. we have a cap of £7/item sold regardless of how expensive the product is. But we start with a higher commission %

SO I can imagine that many other Amazon sites, it, fr, de will have different rules about commission, hence the Canadian one can be different to the US
