Image traffic?

I've been getting alot of image traffic in the past week (google images), and I've got a couple q's about it:

a) Does it count as a pageview if the person never leaves google images and just views the pop-up window?

b) Is the traffic just as good as those coming from text results?

c) Does it usually last?

    We get the same, two pics on our blog seem to generate about 10% of our traffic, I guess Google must class it as a pageview when it's indexed in Google Images because we don't rank on a search for the keywords, just seem to get loads of traffic from them.

    It DOES count as a pageview, however most of the visitors never make it to your site, as they only see the image frame that is loaded above your site.... It also CAN be as good as regular web search, but it really depends on what people are looking for. If they're looking for a product, image search is really good. If they're just looking for a text-based review, then its' not so good. Hope this helps.

      You can easily break the Google frame when traffic clicks on your image inside Google Images.

      Paste this code in the page header, between <head> & </head>, best results If the javascript is at the top of the page, so it breaks the frame before anything else happens on the page. This way the traffic won't have to look at the Google frame.

    The answer of your first and third question is 'yes'. Now come to your second question. It may last or it may not last. All it depends the quality of your text. So, put quality text along with good image.

    A) Yes, it still counts as a pageview

    B) Yes, the traffic is just as good (as long as it does not add up to the bounce rate)

    C) I don't have a definite answer for this.. But the images from our site has lasted this long in search results for our chosen keywords.

    Image links are very good. It is a nice way to get some extra traffic. I would suggest you do Image links on the following sites: Pinterest, Flickr, Polyvore(For Fashion only), Clipboard, etc.

    couple of years ago, image optimization is one of the best seo techniques that you can do. daily I can earn as much as 50 Hits on images, but as time goes by. google is elevating its algo, more and more old stuffs are getting useless and waste of time techniques.
