OK. So the subject is a bit vague, but I've done some ready and APPARENTLY Google+1s mainly as well as Tweets and Likes on FB and Pins on Pinterest and whatever else are all good for SEO as Google counts Social Signals towards your ranking.

So assuming this is true, would it be safe to:

a) Buy +1s, Tweets, Likes on Fiverr in moderation.
b) Go to MicroWorkers/Mturk and get people to +1/Tweet/Like a page.

Thanks!

Never buy anything regarding social media like G+, FB Likes or tweets they are fake and generated by auto bots. After 2-3 days they will start removing from your stats.. do definitely don't do that.. Personal Experience....

hear hear. Google are on this trick. They even result in worse rankings! I've seen it for myself. Not my sites luckily enough, but it does happen!

    Buying followers/likes/tweets is pointless because:

    1. Social signals don't (yet) have much of impact on SERPs.
    2. they are fake and offer you no value, no conversation, no conversions.

Maybe you're just starting out and you want to buy a *few* likes, so it doesn't look like nobody loves you. I think that's fine. Otherwise, you're just throwing away money.

Put money towards creating shit that people want or will appreciate and they'll like you for it. That's valuable.

Yep, Fiverr gigs for this a big waste. Google can tell easily it is their own system and Facebook going public has really started to crack down (read the news on this).

    I personally use Follow Like
Generally I only lose about 1 out of ever 10 and costs me nothing, it is part of my normal pattern for getting things indexed fast and some initial little juice. Especially with the pinterest stuff. These seems to be legit users as well, have managed to get some really nice cross links and promotions going on with some of the users I have gotten liked or +1's by. It has turned out to be one of the better networking type things even if it wasn't ever intended for it.

Right here is your first problem.

Show me one site ranked on just +1's, FB likes, Pins, or any other social signals for a keyword that is at least slightly competitive.

I know Mike doesn't need me to say this but 100% true!

SEO is like a puzzle that needs many different pieces done correctly to get the picture you want the world to see. The social aspect is just 1 piece.

This is your website/business and your being lazy :p sorry but its true.
Do you really want 10,000 facebook likes and when you post a status or image on your page for months on end nobody says a word?
Because thats exactly what will happen.

Gain your own fb, twitter fans who will engage with you and your business.

Yes its long and it does take time....but we all have to do it

We all have seen lazier I am sure.. heck who wants to spend time doing one thing when they could be doing something else? I know this guy who has on his website he has like 30k+ facebook fans but if you look at the source it is just hard coded to display it. He had a bit of logic behind it though, he said people join groups of other people but won't be first to join something. He isn't to far off though because most in this world are followers.

But whats the point in having a FB page and posting status updates and so on and having nobody communicate back to you? Its just pointless

The whole meaning to having social networking pages is to gain customers, gain visitors and form a relationship with your real fans so they become fans for life.......not so you can have a page and show off that you have 10k fans that never speak to you?

Ive personally never been lazy - everything I do for my websites is manual and done by me and my business parter only.

Don't ask me.. I was just stating a story from what someone does. I personally like my facebook users and have got a few interesting opportunities from them and provided a few for others.

Trust me I know the doing manual feeling all to well, I am in the middle of editing 23 articles I typed up so they exist within a format I have planned for a new section of the site..I swear my mind is going numb

Not to hurt your feelings, but big deal. People who do everything by hand naturally have a feeling of superiority over the 'push button brigade,' but it's not merited.

Facebook is a cesspool of updates. The idea that you're going to be able to 'build relationships' there surrounding your unknown product is nearly preposterous. There is so much information overload in the world, your status update only commands a tiny amount of attention, no matter what 'brand' you are. You really can't blame people for attempting to automate this process as much as possible.

Yeah that they are the people that get nowhere.

Ive sat and watched pages go viral through good marketing plans, ive watched pages post interesting statuses and engage with their fans which then brings them more customers and more profits!

Again I will say..... what is your purpose of having a FB page when you have fake likes??? There is no purpose it is really pontless and a whole waste of money.

Before Amazon or H&M were big brands....did you see them buying fiverr gigs or fake FB fans? Of course not! And if buying these silly things actually done justice to any business or any FB page then everyone would be doing it.
But they aint.....because not everyone is that stupid

The one thing you shouldn't mess with is Google +1. They are smart at spotting fake profiles and +1s. After all they own the +1 platform. If youre looking for a penalty from google then buying fake +1s is a great way to get it.

You can use a free service like mine in my sig or places like socialclerks, but let me dive in about social signal seo as it pertains to Google.

Now I want you to imagine Google +1s is like Page Rank. To pass on page rank, you have to have page rank right? If I have 0 Page Rank, I don't have nothing to pass on.

Google +1s are not much different. Google knew at the inception of +1s that it could be black hatted. This they take into account. You have to have points to give real points. Let me explain

If I spammed +1s, this shows a habit which is probably gauged by Google. To counter this points of authority is earned or pluses earned when using Googles services.

Your Google Profile, Pages, Time line and Google Circles is the hub to which you gain actual credibility.

Now as far as Social Signal SEO is concerned Google dives further than just the +1

      Authority Tags
      Google Badges
      Google+ share
      and snippets

All these plus Google +1 point to your Google Profile either directly or indirectly.

Lets look at Google Circles for an example. If you ad someone to a circle you are given +x amount of points. Yes people can get more than 1 point for individual or organization. If you ad a Google+ share button you get +2 point to you, meaning your profile.

So +1s are a commodity and handed out first by Google. So to play the +1 game, work Google + and network out.

This is one reason why Google will never put in place a writer API to their timelines.

Hope this makes sense. I am a bit off tonight due to meds.

I agree re not messing with Google+......after all tis one thing trying to trick google into thinking you are getting backlinks via other sources....but doing it on their very own platform is ludicrous.

If there was one platform I wouldn't mess with its that one.
