hello i amke one forum Forums but when i am make sitemape for this site and add in google webmaster toles then givin this error.

We encountered an error while trying to access your Sitemap. Please ensure your Sitemap follows our guidelines and can be accessed at the location you provided and then resubmit.

  • is it an xml sitemap and is the path to it correct i.e. www.yourdomain.com/sitemap.xml

  • Like the error and shayman says, it appears the sitemap is not located where you are telling Google Webmaster Tools it is. Maybe you could give the URL of your sitemap file?

  • Try accessing the sitemp url you provided in web browser. If it doesn't display then the path is incorrect. If it does display, then there might be some other problem, such as blocking google spiders from crawling your site, or the file being protected. Hope it helps!

  • Like I pointed out your sitemaps are not located at

    www.yourdomain.com/sitemap.xml

    but here:

    http://www.theblackhatseo.com/sitemap_index.xml.gz

    Click the above url to see them. You can use whichever ones you want to use in webmaster tools. It might even accept the above url and crawl them all automatically.
