Hi,

Will using articles from ezinearticles.com, etc, downgrade my SEO?

If you are using articles already published in Ezine than you are actually creating duplicate copy of those articles by posting them on your site which I think will definitely affect your ranking.

Yes, but I have read somewhere that using duplicate content doesn't effect on google ranking.
      Am I right?

        • Use content from EzineArticles and other directories only when you don't have time to update your site (considering that you are posting fresh content regularly). Using content from article directories on a constant basis will eventually affect your rankings.

You can use a few in a big sites (as quotes, not simply copying and pasting the whole article) and get away with it.

But if your site will consist of nothing more than a collection of articles already published elsewhere, don't expect much in terms of ranking.

If you want to use an article that is published elsewhere, then you should use a canonical url tag to the original source, this will avoid the risk of a duplicated content penalty

According to me if you are using same article on other article directories (Only few one) then its fine. You are not using duplicate content on your own website, we suggest you to provide the original source at the end of your article so that you can get benefit of article marketing.
