Will This Damage My New Site?

One of my sites wasn't ranking in Google, so I decided to delete the site, file a removal request with Google, register a new domain, and add all the content again. However, all the posts on the previous site were sent to about 15 social bookmarking sites, and a few of the posts were submitted to web 2.0 sites. Does Google see this as duplicate content? Will my site still get ranked?

I have no idea why my content wasn't ranking in the first place. I was targeting very low competition KWS, and the content was much better than all the other sites on Google; I wrote 500 words per post, while all the other sites just used a plugin to get the information from Amazon.

Before you create a new site, make sure Google doesn't have your old site still indexed.

As for the web 2.0 sites, just update the links to your new site.

How old was the old site before you decided it wasn't ranking?

How did you determine it was a very low competition keyword?

The site wasn't old - only a month and a bit- but not one of the 80 posts were ranking and, in my experience, this isn't normal.

Using SEO Quake, I checked the first few pages of Google. The sites had virtually no backlinks, and had a PR of n/a. My other sites were ranking on the 1st and 2nd pages of Google after only a few days, without any backlinking having been done.

Oh man. For the love of god, don't use duplicate content, especially if its already indexed in Google for multiple Web 2.0's.

You are just asking for trouble, not only that, please spend some time and just do some legit high-quality SEO that won't get you penalized by Google-- or outsource that work to someone who can.

In all respect, you are better off staying away from the SEO game if your last site couldn't rank and now you're asking whether posting duplicate content on your new site is ok.

I typed site:abc.com into Google and also searched for the first paragraph of many posts in quotes, and Google came back with nothing in both instances.

The thing is that I should have been ranking. The KWs were even less competitive than my other sites which, as I said, had no backlinks to their name, and were on the 1st and 2nd pages of Google.
