If I change page content with new fresher content do I lose any SEO benefits that I had done prior?

Just like title says-
if I had page content and had SEO done for certain keywords on the page,
but then I had it updated with fresher content (but still
similar/same keywords) do I lose any SEO benefits?


Just want to know before I change the content on my sites

Also how does it effect my SEO optimizer who is still currently optimizing for certain keywords on the pages?

    As a matter of fact you can not exactly replicated the on-page SEO factors with the new content. Because of this, its not possible to have the exact same seo benefits. I am not saying the benefit will come down. But definitely google knows that the page has been updated with new content. This new page will be evaluated again as if it is a new page.

        You'll have to rebuild those links and get your site groovin' with Google again.
