Backlinks to Facebook/Twitter/Etc

Does it make any sense to make backlinks to your Facebook Page, Twitter, Pinterest...etc?

Or do you "automatically" get backlinks to those accounts?

This is probably a dumb question, I am sorry.

  • No its not a dumb question. Having your business listed on twitter/facebook is great.
  • It may bring in some impressions, and that popularity will help with getting likes/followers, and you might get noticed by google.
  • To my understanding its less a case of backlinks and more social validation. The more likes/follows/subscribers you have the better rankings etc. Can anybody else confirm this?

    I have tested scrapebox to a facebook group and page before and the results werent that great.

  • Although Facebook or Tweeter give you NO-Follow links they are considered to be authority websites which increases your popularity to Goolge's eyes.
