How important is loading time?

Im working on this amazon review site, but unfortunately it seems like products are not THAT good ranking even there is no competition.
How important is loading time for google to ranking factors? I mean I have sort of a complex review theme.

Additionally I have Pics for parts of my review with a nice looking font. Maybe those are loading time killers. Is there a way to have this fonts and NOT pictures?

  • Load time IS a factor in SEO, also your bounce rate is a factor which can go hand in hand with load time. If people get frustrated waiting for the page to load they are likely to leave, so you get a double whammy... bad load time and a high bounce rate.

      like...89th...I never am done with #1-88, so....

      Normal people, with normal websites, do not have to
      worry about load time.

      Not much about load time anymore, now that panda, penguin,
      etc. have taken over.

      "Load time" was rampant because google whispers something and
      everybody takes it to mean something else.

      Just like the replies in this thread.

  • It is quite a significant factor in both SEO and conversion. If a website take too long to load, there is a good chance than people will just close the windows and open another site instead. Keep your website load time below 3 seconds.

  • Loading time is really more important for every website. Because if your website have more loading time, then people get bored and close your website before it could open. So website's bounce rate increase and it also puts bad impacts on it's page rank.

    loading time you can know by opening your pages normally, if it is taking too much time then you have to think of this, use less flashy stuffs on your site, you may be using lots of plugins, the theme may also affect loading time.
  • Try to avoid complex size images in your website. If your website don't open within the visitors expectation time, then there is a more of a chance that your visitor may jump to your competitor's website.
