Hello Everyone,
I have a client and he has a mobile version of his site the url is Mobile Site Preview if you dont look at the site on a phone a preview page will come up so try to see it on a phone if you can. Anyhow he asked me if there is any way to increase the rankings or search traffic for his mobile version of his site. Google and other major search engines have mobile versions of their search engines and does traditional methods of getting sites ranked work for those search engines the same as they do for the regular versions ie backlinks and stuff like that?

Thanks for all your input!

The current advice from Google is that responsive site design is the best way to handle mobile sites i.e. sites that host everything on one URL but are able to respond to different browsers, be they mobile or stationary and respond with the correct version of the page.

Thus it would be better in terms of SEO if your friend could use the same domain atlantagoldandcoin.com and not m.atlantagoldandcoin.com as the base for all pages.

Dropmining if I understand you right that if someone goes to the url atlantagoldandcoin.com the site should detect if they are on mobile phone or regular computer and if on mobile show them a mobile version correct? If that is right do you or anyone know of a free wordpress plugin that will do that?

There is no exact type of seo for mobile websites. The same seo used for normal sites can also be applied for mobile websites and still yield results.
