how to get ranked with competitive keyword in google ?

Sure you will need a lot of backlink if the competition very hard.. ping your backlink and you can see the result in 1-2 weeks..
Or you can create many web with long keyword tail with less competition

Time, content & backlinks. then again some time.

For high competitive keywords you need a private high PR network (or buy such links) or you need to be a genius spammer.

With just normal links like web2.0's, article directories, bookmarks etc etc you won't get there or it will take ages and huge pyramid styles. Often creating those massive pyramids turns out more expensive or extremely time consuming, and time = money, at least for most.

If keyword is super competitive then you'll need some extraordinary content which is really unique, wonderful site structure, links for high authority sites, maximum amount of contextual backlink with constant updates on the niche of your site

To give you an idea.. I have been working on a keyword that gets 3.5 mil searches a month since January... I am on page 2 at this moment.

A little diversity is key, but the essence is to source a variety of links from trusted sites.
The higher the volume, value and competitivity of the niche, the more of the above that is required.

We use a network, or group of smaller networks to be fair, of around 400 websites as the mainstay of the "trusted sites", we either built or purchased them specifically for this purpose, it grows with our clients as it were.

We add groups of sites to suit differing niches, link them up to other relevant sites. For example, if we took a client that was selling Finance Products in Boston, we'd likely add a couple of Boston directories, some relevant local financial blogs, the directories would end up linked to a couple of US Flight sites, the financial blogs would become connected to an existing payments network. It works great, but its not without its flaws.

Maintenance the second one.

Intersperse links from other industry relevant sites, both to the client and network, both slowly gain more trust and relevance.

Try and keep the content as unique as possible and relevant everywhere.

I've managed to push a client into third for super highly competitive 50k exact match(UK).

If competition is very high then doing simple backlink building strategies won't work.You have to be extraordinary in building links.Or buying some quality links may also work.

You can definitely outrank all your competitor, the only thing is its going to take you some time, maybe 3 months, 6 months or year depends on the competition.

The best thing to do is to hv a close look at your competitors and see from where they are getting their links. Try and get links frm the same sources or similar sources. Because its working for them then it will work for you too.

Addtionally you want to build some good high quality backlinks from a variety of sources for yourself. Quality is more important than quantity here. Gone are those days when you can just blast your site with thousands of links and get ranked in few days (I loved those days though)....

Don't just depend on Google, also do socialy marketing, make it go viral when people starts sharing links on their own, it helps in SERPs, do PRESS RELEASES.. one of the best way to get large no. of quality links

Get .edu .gov links .

If a keyword is much competitive then you have to do hard work for long time because you cannot beat someone who is already at the top of the ranking in couple of days or weeks. You have to create backlinks which are of high quality and coming from highly authorized website. Your content must of high quality and unique because Google hates duplicate and bad content. One more thing which can affect your ranking is the natural ways of links building so don’t go for unnatural link building.

Analyze what your competitors do, mimic their strategy and introduce your own mix to improve their already-successful methods.
